Summary: An amusement park has popped up in Luceti. It's all over here.
Rating: F is for friends who do stuff together!

Just some notes here not in the mod post -
1) The weather will be bright and partly cloudy for the rest of the month on the beach side of things. A nice cool sea breeze will keep people from melting out there.
2) All the old Luceti Land rides are still available. However, feel free to make up your own attractions and rides as well.
3) Since this is around for two weeks, we may put up another mass log if this one gets too full. So keep an eye on that!
4) Don't forget to tag your character's name on to the log! If you don't have one yet, just let us know and we'll get you hooked up.

As way of explanation for all this, Bil will have written a message on the first page of the journals. It cannot be replied to, it simply states:

"My condolences for all the trouble. You were due for an experiment today, but I thought you might enjoy an amusement park instead. It seemed like the sort of thing the Great One would do."

[For a while, she's entirely occupied with her cotton candy. Then, she looks up to ask:] What would you like to do next?

[Dhaos really has no idea. They had carnivals somewhat similar to this on Derris-Kharlan, but this is... not Derris-Kharlan, and he didn't have too much to do back then, either.]

...Anything other than the rides.

It's a sign. Maybe if we obey it, it will? XD;

[Dhaos looks up at the nearest roller coaster. As it happens, the latest ride is cresting the first rise, and a scream goes up as it zooms back down.] I rather doubt it.

Oh, but you never know until you try.

Sometimes, you can be fairly sure. [...Sigh.] We should just walk. We can decide what to do when we find something.

All right. [Grune goes back to eating her cotton candy. Maybe Dhaos will see something he likes when they're walking.]

[So down the path they go, sloooowly strolling about the park. Dhaos doesn't mind the walk, really, or the company. Or the fact that there's really nothing to do. It's just that he'll probably end up feeling ridiculous at some point, and given that the main attraction besides the rides seems to be the food, well...

...Unfortunately for him, there are plenty of things other than rides and food for Grune to coerce him into.]

[Things like one of those throwing games!

Have Grune, tugging at your arm.] We should try one of those games. They look like so much fun!

[Noooooo Grune. Nooooo. Dhaos does not do the carnival game thing.

He lets her drag him over anyway.]

...If you insist.

[Maybe she'll let him off on the rides if he relents. This one doesn't look too bad-- there are some giant rubber duckies and animal plushes as prizes here, and a couple plushies of the villages themselves.]

This is...?

[Grune gives it a curious look.]

Hmmm. I wonder.

[If it was darts, Dhaos would have dragged Grune away. So clearly it is ring toss.

Dhaos forks over one of his tokens, picks up a ring, and idly tosses it. TRY HARDER, DHAOS.]

You try.

All right.

[Grune gives over a token, receives her rings, and gives the first one a toss. It falls short by a good distance.]

Oops. Oh well.

[Sigh. Dhaos tosses his second ring, this time with a little more conviction. Score! He just needs one more, and Grune will have +1 plushie. Because there's no way Dhaos is carrying anything like that around.]

Try again.

All right.

[She tosses one more time…and doesn't even come close.]

Hmm.

[...Sigh. Again. Demon King to the rescue.

Dhaos tosses his last ring and scores. Hooray! Grune gets a plushie! ...Hm.]

...Which one do you want?

Hmm.... [Grune surveys the plushies, then points.] Can I have that one?

[Just guess who it's shaped as. Just guess.]

[...For the umpteenth time, Dhaos should really have seen that coming. He has to admit that he is a little surprised she'd want one of those specifically, however.

The droid running the game doesn't wait for Dhaos' approval-- it takes the plushie down and hands it to Grune at once. Great. ...Now to attempt leaving before she can coax him into winning her another one. He takes her hand and gives it another tug.]

We should move on.

[Grune cuddles Dhaos close--the plushie, that is. He's so cosy!

...And then she notices she still has a hand full.] Oh, but I haven't tossed my last ring yet.
