Summary: An amusement park has popped up in Luceti. It's all over here.
Rating: F is for friends who do stuff together!

Just some notes here not in the mod post -
1) The weather will be bright and partly cloudy for the rest of the month on the beach side of things. A nice cool sea breeze will keep people from melting out there.
2) All the old Luceti Land rides are still available. However, feel free to make up your own attractions and rides as well.
3) Since this is around for two weeks, we may put up another mass log if this one gets too full. So keep an eye on that!
4) Don't forget to tag your character's name on to the log! If you don't have one yet, just let us know and we'll get you hooked up.

As way of explanation for all this, Bil will have written a message on the first page of the journals. It cannot be replied to, it simply states:

"My condolences for all the trouble. You were due for an experiment today, but I thought you might enjoy an amusement park instead. It seemed like the sort of thing the Great One would do."

[Don't be sick. Don't be sick. Don't be sick.

Such is the order of things for the next one hundred and twenty seconds before the car begins to slow one final time, pulling slowly into the station where they'd first left.

The harnesses give a "click", indicating that they can be safely removed. It's several long...very long...seconds before Giles shakily moves to do so.]

[Because she's following Giles' lead, it's only at this point that Grune lifts her own harness.]

That was a very nice ride. We should go on it again.

N-No.

[Dizzy. Oh so very dizzy. Giles is definitely wobbling when he stands up.]

S-Sorry, um...but no. N-Not for me, at least.

[lostinmyway]

[A little concerned, Grune moves over to circle an arm around Giles' waist for support.]

Oh, my, aren't you feeling well?

[consultmybooks]

N-No, I...I, um, I really don't think I am.

...can we sit down now?

[lostinmyway]

Oh, yes, of course. [She starts looking around for a bench.

Is Giles getting the flu?]

[consultmybooks]

Thank you, Grune. [It feels a bit like he's getting the flu, yes. Giles spots a bench first and tugs Grune towards it - it's not far from the ride's exit, probably having been placed there specifically for people like Giles.]

Oh, you're welcome.

[She follows along, still keeping her arm around him. She hopes he isn't getting sick--then he would need to go home and rest and miss going on more rides.]

[He's grateful for that. And, to be honest, Giles isn't feeling as bad as he expected to. It's chiefly dizziness from having his world spun out from under him five times too many.

Even so, once he's sat down, the first words out of his mouth are:]

Y-You, um, you'll probably have to go on roller coasters without me, Grune.

[He can muster an apologetic smile, at least.]

[Now sitting next to him, she gives him a concerned look.]

Didn't you have fun?

...no, I'm afraid I didn't.

Roller coasters are, um, far too fast for me.

[lostinmyway]

Oh, I'm sorry to hear that. [She gives him a careful hug, since he's still feeling sick.] Don't worry. We can go on different rides later, when you're feeling better.

Th-That, um, that...should be fine.

...w-what about the carousel? The ride under the top with all of the animals and the strange music? You haven't gone on that one yet.

[lostinmyway]

Oh, haven't I? [She looks for and actually finds it.] That one looks very pretty.

[consultmybooks]

I've always thought so. And I've actually been on it before - n-not here, I mean. A while ago.

[When he was about as old as his younger self from the Hall of Personas.]

We can go there next.

[lostinmyway]

That would be very nice. [She'll just wait here until you're feeling better, Giles.]

[consultmybooks]

[He appreciates that, Grune. Like you would not believe.

It's about ten minutes, during which point Giles makes an effort to keep Grune entertained by pointing out interesting scenery. After about ten minutes, though, he gets up from the bench. Looking far less shaky than he did, he offers Grune his hand.]

Shall we? Before the line gets too long, at least.

[Grune appreciates Giles keeping her entertained, even if she would be perfectly happy to simply sit quietly with him. She enjoys his observations; Giles always has such interesting things to say.

She takes his hand and doesn't let go when she's standing.]

All right. That sounds like a good idea.

[consultmybooks]

Charge?

[He's already leading the way to the carousel.]

[lostinmyway]

[She giggles.]

Charge!

[consultmybooks]

[Giles, for his part, will probably just take a seat on one of the horses. And spend the right watching the strange mosaics playing across the ceiling when he's not taking in the view of the park.]

[Seeing Giles sit on a horse, Grune picks one nearby. The gentle up-and-down motion of the horse is soothing, and between watching the colours, listening to the music, and seeing the park spin by, she soon slips into a happy daze.]

[It's a happy daze sort of ride, and in short order Giles is feeling much better. He even takes out his camera and tries to snap a few pictures once the ride starts to slow.]

[Grune is far too out of it to notice, but that's all right; candid shots are nice.]

[A few will even prove to be capable of development, later on. Especially quite a nice one of Grune happily staring at nothing.

Until then, Giles stows the camera in his pocket before getting down off the horse. He'll give Grune's sleeve a quick tug just in case she hasn't noticed they've stopped.]
