New Year's brings images of crowds, and songs, and fireworks; staying up til midnight and watching balls or bells being rung. But Luceti is a different time and place. Whether you're partying with friends or watching the sunrise, what are you doing today?

[ Keiichi is probably inevitably there with her at one point - or maybe she with Keiichi somewhere else, eventually, but for now Minato will find her sitting there alone as if there's nothing weird with sitting on the roof on a pretty dangerous point.

... It's probably why she greets him very casually the moment she spots him up there too. ]

Minato. ... Good evening.

[Well, at least he isn't there right now.]

[ She casually shifts a little from where she's sitting on one of the thicker branches so she's able to look down, spotting a familiar face down there. ]

Kamijou-san, hey. Also out watching the fireworks? [ said so casually since what could ever be wrong with sitting that high up in a tree.. ]

[ probably, considering he's sitting on a huge.. weird.. Pokémon thing. ]

Hi. [ Saying it back just as.. normally and calmly.. even when she's eyeing the Swampert - it takes a lot to faze Ange, after all. ]

I see you also got the idea to sit a little higher up, huh.

[lunas]

[ She doesn't move from where she's lying on the ground completely still, so for a moment or two it might seem like she's actually unconscious or whatever. But then, slowly but surely, a whiny sound emerges from her. ]

That hurt..

[ She manages to get her face off the floor again, and she rapidly sits up. ]

I'm fine, just fine! I just wanted to-- .. ouch.. [ for a moment she rubs her face. ] A-anyway, I just wanted to see the fireworks!

[lunas]

[ She's saved! At least that causes her to smile brightly at the other girl, nodding as if nothing is wrong at all. ]

It's okay, Ami-chan! Don't worry, I'm fine now, and that didn't hurt at all! [ a nod, and she looks up to the sky again for a moment. ]

Hmm, they are.. I was wondering if they'd have fireworks here, but I'm glad they do! It's so pretty to watch them explode in the sky..!

[ She might have noticed the popcorn - Usagi and her food addiction. It's probably why she faceplanted in the first place, since it made her lose focus on where exactly she was walking. When she hears a voice though, she just lets out a slightly whiny sound in response. ]

My face hurts..

[ She manages to remove her face from the floor, at least, instead looking up at the older girl and blinking. ]

Of course it hurt, I fell all the way! [ It's more a pouty sort of annoyance rather than real anger though, and she takes her hand to stand up. ]

... I'm okay though, I guess.

Ah, that must be a little lonely on New Years.. [ it's okay, meduka is here to end all suffering!! ]

Um, I could sit with you for a while, if you want? Just talking is nice, right?

We'll stay awhile, and go back when it gets too cold, how about that?

[It's... really a wonderful sight, the way the village comes together sometimes. Even Ami feels caught up in the cheer, and lets Usagi lead her along without complaint, duly looking over each new sight.]

I'm definitely enjoying myself! [BIG SMILE etc.]

I mean, celebrating the New Year in a place like this is kind of weird, but it's still fun, right?

[The good point of Luceti is that it rarely matters what time of the day it is, you can find things without worrying about paying for them. The other good thing are empty apartments and kitchens ready to be used and not locked. Or maybe those are bad points as they make the idea of "breaking and entering" an empty apartment that isn't his to make some hot cocoa be a good one he doesn't even second guess.

Anyway, Ange can enjoy the fireworks alone for a bit longer, but eventually the smell of freshly made hot cocoa will reach her nose, specially when a cup of the delicious beverage is offered to her by none other but her truly boyfriend. Keiichi offers her the cup with a smile while he holds another one for himself. No, there's nothing wrong in seeing your girlfriend sitting on a roof's edge and deciding to go up with her and make hot cocoa in the way up.]

[As Keiichi spends with Ange the change to the new year outside home, he ends returning late. Entering and looking around, specially towards the couch in the living room, tell him you're not there asleep again Minato.]

[Actually he's packing up to go sleep in his bed, who needs a couch?]

Wow, you're awake. I thought you would be sleeping there.

[Laughing in relief.]

Yo, Ami-chan! Usagi-chan!

[Don't worry girls, you don't have to mind the waving boy too much if you don't want to. He was just hunting searching for his girlfriend but he's not the type to ignore someone he knows. Even if he can't really say he knows Usagi anymore.]

[What sort of strange game are you play Usagi? ...Can Yotsuba join in too?! Trying her best to keep up with Usagi as she runs around, Yotsuba will be following close behind. When she runs, Yotsuba runs. When she falls over, Yotsuba falls over too!

"Hey, sometimes enjoying a few drinks helps too. No shame there, especially when its free."

It was a small joke, but also something he was sure he wouldn't easily get used to. Everything being free took away his raison d'etre, and part of what sent him off on wanderings for the sake of being busy. From what the man was describing, it did explain some of why people looked so homey in the place. It was part of their own quest to keep occupied.

"That's certainly an interesting way of looking at things." He offered a hand. "The name's Lupin. Arsene Lupin III."

There was a good point there. He saw it, but accepting things with poise and grace had never really been his style. His best results always came from wailing against circumstances and making things happen.

"That's true," he said calmly, "And, I know its not terrible because most everyone else is here, but my oldest and most reliable partner isn't here. He was, at one point, but he was already gone by the time I dropped in. Sorry for being sentimental there--the friend in question would put me in a headlock if he heard all this."

There's a wry smile on his face as he continues. "We always did our best work as a group, the four of us. I know I've done some pretty crazy things, but I can't take all of the credit. Some of it never would have happened with out my buddies around. All of them."

[ caroline's having a blast, and wishing just about everyone a happy new year, regardless of if she knows them or not. ]

Ah-- [ She looks up to see who's calling out to her and.. almost manages to trip over her own feet in the process. Luckily she manages to catch herself just in time to remain standing, and glances over to Aoba a little awkwardly since oh, he saw all that.. ]

[ Madoka is still admiring it all the same - she can't use any sort of magic, after all, so even the slightest display of it is already pretty to her. She quickly patters over, smiling at him. ]

Wait, the Malnosso have given us fireworks and parties before?

Not exactly like this, but they've given us things before. They treat it like gifts for bearing with what happens here, but...
