Where: Out on the beach, centered around the teleporter/tunnel exit area. But it feels like July out there! Ain't that just the shit?

Long Ago In A Distant Land, Akai, the fully functional fonbot, unleashed a fairly standard mod post. But a foolish player kept asking questions and come on, do you really need to know that much? Now everyone wants to play out their ships and get into fruit shenanigans and undo to evil that is AKAI.

OH YEAH! So like, assume there is stands (or you know, beach-appropriate huts) here and there that are stocked up on bathing suits (and curtains you can change behind), stands with beverages, and snacks. Nobody's really operating them, new stuff just gets Shifted there (BUT ONLY IF YOU'RE NOT WATCHING). The Malnosso are the most considerate bro-ginization ever.

[Ace is trying to get away from all those couples by going to the beach. Only to find all these weird trees there. He stares at them curiously, a bit cautious since well. They weren't there before.

But they look kinda tasty, and he wants to eat one...]

[You know, two years in Luceti should mean a lot more to someone who's experienced the trial and tribulations of the ever-awful Valentines Day experiment, but this year seemed so normal. It was weird. Miyabi didn't feel any different at all, so maybe she'd be safe from the weird fruits, too? She was hanging with Chopper a lot more, but that's nothing odd, right? She missed the little reindeer!

Plus, with the compelling nature of the fruits, and her own accursed curiosity, Miyabi's sitting under the shade of one tree with fruit in hand. She's already taken a few bites, smacking her lips slightly. Whew, it was really sweet... But maybe it'd go great with some tea or something.]

[He walked around a few more trees, and then saw Miyabi out of the corner of his eye. He saw her eating the fruit, and figured "well... it must be okay". He went over to her, leaning against the tree.]

Miyabi immediately feels her spirits soar when she sees him and she jumps up onto her feet and flings herself at him rather suddenly, arms around his middle. She missed seeing you! Hello! What was he saying before, she was too excited, uhm...wait, wait. Ah, yes, right. Something about fruit.]

You mean that? [She looks over her shoulder to where the core of her fruit lays in the sand, forgotten.] Oh, it's good! It's really very sweet, and made me a bit thirsty, but it's good! Do you want on for yourself? I can cut one down for you!

[Look at her eager face.]

[Whoa... she hugged him? That was new. He hugged her back, and then looked to the tree.]

Sure, if you want! [She's like a hyper little kid, he thinks it's so cute.]

[It's the fruit. That amount of sugary sweetness has a rather... exuberant output. But once Ace tells her she can, Miyabi's shoulders raise up with excitement and happiness, and her eyes seem to shine with glee. Yay, yay, she's going to share tasty fruit with Ace on the beach in such lovely weather... This is the best day ever. ♥

After hanging on a for a moment or two longer - he's unnaturally warm and it's so nice - Miyabi releases the pirate and goes to fetch her sword from the sand. She scours the tops of the tree for the best looking fruit and grins when she does. Drawing a straight, horizontal line with the brush on her sword, Miyabi is able to slash the fruit down. Down, down it comes....]

[When suddenly, there is a yell:]

Hey, Ace!

[Fruit hurtling towards you at 3 o'clock. 8Da]

[He raises his head and suddenly sees a fruit coming to him. His eyes widen a little and he catches it with one hand.]

Yo, Nami.

Nice catch. Having a good day?

So far, yeah. Good weather and all. And you?

So far so good. I am so taking advantage of this weather while it's here.

Which reminds me. Is your skiff around?

[Poor Ace, you will get no moment of solace at all today. Not even enough to enjoy that weird fruit. Why? Because a large and colorful beach ball will have been flung your way, bouncing off that empty head of yours harmlessly.

[lsnskgles-- he turns around to see what hit him, and picks up the beach ball. He turns to face Norma, bouncing the ball in his hand and smirking all the while.]

It's on. [And he'll just toss it right back to her.]

[Ooooh shitfuckdamnitall--SQUEAK! Direct hit.

Norma flails and picks up the beach ball again, huffing. You want a battle, pirate? Be prepared for a war. Norma narrows her eyes looking like death itself, before she closes her eyes with a smile and sets the ball down on the sand.]

Think you got what it takes? [NORMA KIIIIIIICK-ing that beach ball back at you. You might...wanna duck.]

[Duck? That would requiring dodging. HE WILL NOT BACK DOWN FROM THIS CHALLENGE EVER. He grabs the ball, leaning back a bit to make sure it wouldn't fall and that he could catch. His face spreads into a shit-eating grin.]

I know I do. [Now, he could kick back at full power, but then the... ball might break. So he kicks it back hard in that it goes flying, but not too hard.]

[Welp, "not too hard" for someone like Ace is probably along the lines of "dear god why" for someone like Norma. With a loud squeal, she dodges, flopping slightly into the sand.] Jeez, don't try to kill me or anything now! Not like I value my life or anything!

[She huffs, standing up to go and pick up the beach ball. Where did it even go anywa--ah, there. Norma head into the water, about ankle deep, and picks the ball up before it can get swept away. She'll also wash off some of that sand on her legs and arms too, before turning.]

Yo, heads up! [Serving that ball back your way, Ace.]

[Oh hey, Ace. Kazooie is pretty unimpressed by the strange trees herself - weird randomly-appearing fruits are not too odd for her, though she's not sure why she wants to eat them so much.

Still, it's nice to stand on the trees and take in that scent. It makes her weirdly happy for some reason.

Maybe she can knock a fruit down for him, if he wants?]

[He glances up at the tree, and a smile comes over his face.]

Yo, Kazooie! [He waves back.] How's it going?

Pretty good! This beach thing is awesome - dunno why the Malnosso-guys are doing it, but it's great to have warm weather instead of all this cold junk!

[She cranes her neck down to better see Ace.]

I'm gonna take it for all I can get. Cold doesn't bother me, but good weather like this is just great for relaxing.

[He stares up at a tree and nods.] Sure! [Friendship fruit get?]

[If Ace somehow decides to look down, he may spot a small patch of marimo growing at the foot of one of the trees. He definitely doesn't share Ace's sense of caution, seeing as he's busily munching on a fruit.]

[Oh, that patch of marimo is very hard to miss indeed. Considering it sticks out like a green thumb. (Haha, get it.) he turns to face Zoro, raising a hand in greeting.]

Hey, Zoro. [He points with his index finger to the fruit.] So's it any good?

Eh. [He stretches out his hand, offering the pre-bitten fruit to Ace.] Got a few ripe ones earlier but this one's not so bad.
