OH YEAH! So like, assume there is stands (or you know, beach-appropriate huts) here and there that are stocked up on bathing suits (and curtains you can change behind), stands with beverages, and snacks. Nobody's really operating them, new stuff just gets Shifted there (BUT ONLY IF YOU'RE NOT WATCHING). The Malnosso are the most considerate bro-ginization ever.

Any illness that pertains to fruit is easily cured Rett. We've supplies enough and the only water about is the seawater. There's more danger in washing it there than there is having it plain.

If that's what you want, then, go right ahead. [Adele waits, brow quirked. At the commentary and face she shrugs and tosses her share of the fruit as well.] Overripe, then?

I don't think this is normal, to be honest. Such fruits, such trees sprouting up in under a day? Jack said that they weren't here before, and he knows this coast as well as he knows anything else in this place.

He'll drag his gaze back to her face every time she looks to him, though. It's not polite to stare, especially not at one of his co-workers.]

[Adele turns a bit to avoid a deeper swell of the sand and blinks at how Willock is looking at her. That is not an entirely unfamiliar expression, though it seemed more hesitant than what she was accustomed to.]

She wets her lips with her tongue before reaching out to take his wrist in her hand to check his pulse.]

I can check my own pulse, you know. [And he applies two fingers beneath his jaw to do so, though he knows well enough that it's racing, and shakes his head dismissively. He'd better try to get her off whatever train of thought she's on.] I'm fine. Well, provided I'm not about to come down with gastroenteritis.

A second opinion will do you no harm Rett. Please? [She extends a hand, waiting.] I do not think that is the case and I've a theory, but I would like to check your pulse to be certain.

[He looks longingly at that hand. Yes, please--and why is he getting such thoughts all of a sudden, anyway? He forces them to the back of his mind, regarding her seriously.]

If I might check your pulse, I will tell you. [Adele waits, hand held out.] I will not make a diagnosis without all the facts.

Fine. [He gives her his wrist, giving in more easily than he should and inhaling a bit sharply at the contact. Her hand is so warm, and soft, and...]

[Concerned, she runs her fingertips over the point of Willock's pulse, pressing lightly and counting against her own relaxed heartbeat. His pulse was elevated, rapid, along with the wandering eyes, flushed skin, that half gasp from before?]

Safe is relative. Since not everyone that's consumed them has rent their clothes from their bodies and begun to copulate on the sand, it makes me wonder if the effects differs based on an unknown variable. [She releases his wrist and drops her hands back to her sides.]

All things considered, you should be well in a bit. You didn't have that much, so it shouldn't last that long.

[Adele looks back over the groups and couples huddled on the beach, or walking to huts. Some seemed amorous, some seemed impassioned, others simply friendly, the disparity in data made it difficult to deduce anything in particular. Without any solid details other than 'avoid the fruit' she shrugs, blinking a bit when her hand is in Will's.]

...It's probably mostly ripeness. That would make sense from a chemical perspective. Higher concentrations.
