Long Ago In A Distant Land, Akai, the fully functional fonbot, unleashed a fairly standard mod post. But a foolish player kept asking questions and come on, do you really need to know that much? Now everyone wants to play out their ships and get into fruit shenanigans and undo to evil that is AKAI.

OH YEAH! So like, assume there is stands (or you know, beach-appropriate huts) here and there that are stocked up on bathing suits (and curtains you can change behind), stands with beverages, and snacks. Nobody's really operating them, new stuff just gets Shifted there (BUT ONLY IF YOU'RE NOT WATCHING). The Malnosso are the most considerate bro-ginization ever.

What would a dragon need from a human?

[dragoneer]

Um--wellllll? We share an island, so we share a food supply. And it works out better for both of us if we work together.

[biteoffherhead]

There's no competition between you for that food supply? You don't challenge them, and take their land?

[There's a bit of a bitter growl. Well, okay, not a bit. It rises up and gets pretty loud pretty fast. Moro's body language is still not indicating an incoming attack, but her snarling expression makes her hatred clear enough.]

Because that is what humans do. They take.

[dragoneer]

[He realizes it's proooobably a bad idea to tell her about the truth of the situation. But. He's kind of...afraid not to. She's sort of intimidating, even with Toothless standing by.]

...We used to fight them because they'd steal from us. But we don't do that anymore.

[biteoffherhead]

[Your intimidation is for good reason! She's a human-killer, after all. Though to be fair, it's because her humans are god-killers.]

So you started with fighting and ended with peace?

I wonder how long that will last...

[dragoneer]

[He swallows. He doesn't like the sound of that.]

...I hope it doesn't ever come to that. Living in peace with the dragons, it's--amazing.

Then tell me about it. I want to hear about your coexistence.

It does not sound the same as the peace humans threw away in my world.

[Well, interesting is a lot better than some other things he could be to her...]

Well--the only reason peace never existed in the first place was because the dragons--they stole from us. But it was only for this...overlord dragon that would eat them if they didn't bring things back for it. So once that queen bee was gone, we just...didn't have anything to fight over anymore.

[biteoffherhead]

[She can't really object, to be honest. They wanted to survive, so they destroyed what was holding them back. Regardless, she turns back to Toothless, grinning a not-so-toothless grin.]

And what does a dragon need from a human? They can't possibly offer you much.

[Toothless considers this question--his answer might be a bit different than the other dragons, who benefited from the viking's fishing and their companionship. But there was something else he needed Hiccup for, too.

He sweeps his tail out in front of him. He isn't wear his prosthetic today, so one-half of his tail fin is missing. His wings flex. Without Hiccup, he cannot fly.]

[biteoffherhead]

[Interesting. Very interesting. She turns back to Hiccup.]

If I hear of you betraying the dragons, I'll eat you myself.

[dragoneer]

[He freezes up at that, color draining from his face. He never would, but it's a threat well-communicated.]

R-right. You--you don't have anything to worry about there. We're partners. Best friends. Through and through.

[biteoffherhead]

[dragoneer]

[Fangs and fury of nature. Got it. Nope, he wouldn't dream of betraying that.]
