Long Ago In A Distant Land, Akai, the fully functional fonbot, unleashed a fairly standard mod post. But a foolish player kept asking questions and come on, do you really need to know that much? Now everyone wants to play out their ships and get into fruit shenanigans and undo to evil that is AKAI.

OH YEAH! So like, assume there is stands (or you know, beach-appropriate huts) here and there that are stocked up on bathing suits (and curtains you can change behind), stands with beverages, and snacks. Nobody's really operating them, new stuff just gets Shifted there (BUT ONLY IF YOU'RE NOT WATCHING). The Malnosso are the most considerate bro-ginization ever.

[ Helios winces, hunching a little at that tone and those words. ]

I-I don't think the strong should-should rule over the weak necessarily. I-I mean the two could always benefit from one another in some fashion. Whether it be one having more strength over intelligence or s-something else. I'd like to think that people can, can get along with one another relatively easy despite the obvious contrast in power.

[ It's something he's striving towards at least. ]

Those who occupy lower levels in the hierarchy have their uses. But, however well two may... [There is a sneering curl of his lip.] "get along"... as you seem so very fond of, there will always be that division.

[Easier to say than 'inequality', for that word only reminds him of the sense of worth and respect he hadn't found among his fellow humans. The only being he will answer to is Lord Dracula, and willingly so.]

N-Not if, if there's a common cause for the two to join in and work towards. Like, ah, here for example! Not everyone here is strong or powerful but sometimes that isn't a bad thing. There was...a time when the noncombatants here were quite helpful towards people who had powers.

[ A sigh. ] But, well, the division is still present yes. But I hardly see it when it comes to interacting with people.

[He asks teasingly, his white, half-lidded eyes fixed expectantly on Helios' face - and then, after a long moment, he decides to leave the subject at that.]

So~. What does a man like yourself do for entertainment? ...Well, aside from spouting drivel about his vision of a perfect, glorious world... [Drolly rolling his eyes.]

I-I don't know. I don't...think so, really. I-I've met gods and goddesses but they've always talked to me like I was...well, an equal a-at least when we conversed together. [ He'll trail off looking back at Issac with a small frown. It's not drivel Issac it is something along the lines of a dream he shares with a very special person who is no longer with us. Still he'll take another bit of that fruit briefly to think on that. ]

Reading, writing, practicing up on my m-magic. Filial magic is quite intriguing to learn. It helps when I combine it with my own as well. A-And Luceti lends itself to keeping its residents quite occupied. There's the school, and the library too. [ A shrug. ]

Nothing too out of the ordinary in terms of pasttimes I admit. [ Aside from the whole magic thing. ]

[Helios' frown does not much affect him. Making no attempt to explain himself quite yet, he then simply replies:] As I thought. A private smile of satisfaction curls his lips - and then, turning his head, he offers the man a sidelong, coquettish glance, a knowing glance.] I can feel it flowing through you.

[ Helios blinks looking taken aback and confused. ] Ah. Wh-what are you...t-talking about? [ He is trying to play this off, okay? He might also pale slightly as he backs away a little. ]

I-I mean. Yes I do have a bit of m-magic if, if that's what you mean. [ A frown. ]

[Such reactions only fuel him, alas.]

Ah, but there is something more, isn't there? A darkness deep inside you.

[He chuckles through his nose, cocking his head in amusement.]

It seems out of place.

[folklorist]

[ Helios flinches and draws away slightly more. No one was supposed to be able to see it. See him, Apep. He swallows thickly looking away and around the beach instead of at Issac. ] It-it's nothing really. I-I don't know what you're t-talking about.

[ A sheepish laugh as he rubs his arm before realizing what he's doing and stopping altogether. This calls for some grade A deflecting now, yup. ] S-So have you ever...been to a beach before?

No; I have not.

[[Pleasantly and casually, he adds:] And you~, my dear Helios, are a terrible liar. I would know, silver-tongued serpent that I am.

[He almost seems proud of the fact.]

[folklorist]

It-it's nothing worth n-noting at least. [ He might shift in his position looking just a tad bit uncomfortable, yup. Yes he knows. He's been told that he's a terrible liar quite a few times from Lupin. Sigh. ]

You haven't? H-How do you like it then?

[relictusdeus]

[He throws his arms wide, answering carelessly and with a tinge of annoyance:]

'tis but sand and water. What is there to like? [His arms fall gently to his sides.] ...I grow weary of your obvious attempts to direct me away from what is clearly a more interesting subject of conversation. You claim it is nothing worth noting, and yet... your manner suggests otherwise.

[A most persistent guy.]

It's rather relaxing and warm f-for starters. M-Much better than, ah, back at the village. It also looks quite amazing when the s-sun sets.

[ Issac you are persistent. Most people wouldn't even care to ask really. Helios bites his lip shrugging. ]

It's really not. I-I just had a ah...s-slight mishap. [ A wince as he brings that up. All sorts of unpleasant emotions drifting across his features and posture. ]

A mishap indeed~. [Another roll of his eyes.] One would think I had demanded that you service me from how you are behaving on the subject.

[He pauses a beat, glancing at the other from the corner of his eye with a hint of roguishness to his expression.] I suppose that you would be opposed to the idea~?

[Smiling, he nods gently as if truly sympathetic to his embarrassment.]

A shame. I would have liked for us to... become better acquainted with one another. [An indulgent chuckle.] Well~. Should you desire something more... thrilling, you need not deny yourself. We are all but beasts, after all. Some... more... than others.

Ah! W-Well we, we certainly can. Get to know one another better I mean! I-I'm never opposed to talking to people. I think I-I sometimes talk a bit too much, really. [ Helios manages a shaky smile. As for the other thing...Helios is not touching that. ]

S-So where, um, exactly are you from? Your world what is it like?

If it is an honest opinion that you seek, I believe that mouth of yours would best be busying itself in other ways.

[He'll let this go eventually, fff. To share his company is to suffer his incessant albeit not-always-malicious teasing.]

So... you wish for me to tell you of Valachia, do you? Hn. [A wry snort.] ...Mothers and fathers thinking their beloved infants to be demons leave them to die. [ Oh dear lord Issac why are you making him so uncomfortable. Helios' face just goes red again. He is just not even going to touch on that statement, nope. He will laugh sheepishly and rub the back of his head though. The things he does to make people feel more welcome. Helios' eyes widen at that description. ]

O-oh. I-I'm...I'm so sorry to hear that. It must be...very hard. [ He looks apologetic at having Issac speak about this because it hardly sounds pleasant and it now makes sense about the other's mindset throughout this entire conversation. It's always hard to hear about worlds especially when they're so much different and seemed so much harder to live in than his own. ] I'm terribly s-sorry to have m-made you, ah, r-remember anything. My curiosity gets the better of me I'm afraid.

[ His eyes are downcast as he replies a bit meekly. ]

[The devil forgemaster does not acknowledge the apology, visibly or verbally. There was nothing of the sort in the castle beyond, "forgive me, my lord", to his master - him to Dracula, and his underlings to him. It is an unpleasant position for one to be in if one finds themselves needing to say that.]

Of course... you too would be burned alive were anyone to suspect you of sorcery. God forbid someone does not like you. [He rolls his eyes, but humourlessly.] All it takes is a whispered word, the expression of some grievance to implicate you.

M-my own world went...went through a very harsh time in regards to s-such things as well. They were called the W-Witch Trials. A lot of...powerful magical families were killed. It's why I... [ a sigh and a small humorless chuckle because to someone such as Issac it must sound ridiculous and pointless but, well, it's his and Elise's dream and it's a dream he will not give up on. ] It's why I am trying to make it equal for all creatures and beings in my world.

[As anticipated, the devil forgemaster doesn't have much faith in the success of Helios' dream, and oh, does it show on his face. At one point in his life, he may have believed - had wanted to believe, rather - that living in harmony was perhaps still possible, but that small, fragile hope has long since been trampled down.]

A damned waste of time. [He remarks bitterly, a marked silence following.] Even if you manage to achieve some illusion of it, it will not last. Man cannot live in peace among his own kind, let alone with other creatures.

[folklorist]

[ A small flinch and hunch of his shoulders. Helios shakes his head unable to agree with that. ] P-Peace? No, no but perhaps a-a compromise of sorts. To have everyone on equal footing and trusting of each other w-would be good enough for me. Everlasting peace...with so many differing cultures and ideas is understandably near impossible to achieve. But I'd like to think that...well, somewhere along the line it could happen.

[relictusdeus]

Hah. [He exhales sharply, the sound too faint to be a full-blown, scoffing laugh.] ...And others think me mad.

[At the thought, he lazily rolls of his eyes, a smile tugging at his lips. He glances towards his company after a beat.]

My dear Helios... What am I to do with you~? [He has no shortage of ideas in that regard, but...]

It...it does seem a bit outlandish, doesn't it? But, ah, I-I think it can be done if everyone tries their hardest. [ He gives a sheepish laugh. ]

I-I'm not sure, really. I've been asked that question before though. What are people going to do with me. [ No Issac none of that. ]
