Where: Out on the beach, centered around the teleporter/tunnel exit area. But it feels like July out there! Ain't that just the shit?

Long Ago In A Distant Land, Akai, the fully functional fonbot, unleashed a fairly standard mod post. But a foolish player kept asking questions and come on, do you really need to know that much? Now everyone wants to play out their ships and get into fruit shenanigans and undo to evil that is AKAI.

OH YEAH! So like, assume there is stands (or you know, beach-appropriate huts) here and there that are stocked up on bathing suits (and curtains you can change behind), stands with beverages, and snacks. Nobody's really operating them, new stuff just gets Shifted there (BUT ONLY IF YOU'RE NOT WATCHING). The Malnosso are the most considerate bro-ginization ever.

[She glances around a bit as he sets his clothes on the chair, and then nods.] Mm! I'm sure they'll dry quickly. It is rather hot and sunny out here, after all! So I don't think it'll take very long.

[mirrorblade]

I hope not. I want to get back as soon as I can. [Or his friends might start to worry about him. Once he's content with how his clothes are set out, he gestures for Nagisa to follow him toward one of the trees.] Now let's see if we can get our hands on one of these fruits.

[There's always the chance that they may end up falling from the sky too! Or just coming on their own. Nagisa follows though, smiling. Yaaay she gets to try one of those fruits!]

Okay! I see a few on that tree there, so how about we try that one?

[mirrorblade]

Sounds good. [He nods, heading for that particular tree.] I wonder what they taste like. They must be really good...

[If, you know, all the people eating them on the beach is anything to go by!]

[And she follows!] Everyone's been eating them, so I guess they are! They weren't here before though, so I do wonder where they came from... [And whether or not the grocery store may stock them or something.]

They weren't here before? [Well, that's odd.] What about the trees?

[cherishedmiracle]

[Nagisa shakes her head.] No, they weren't. And I'm sure that the trees weren't here last time I came, either... But I haven't been here since then, and I don't think many other people have either, so maybe they've just been growing over the winter? [Then again, that hardly makes sense.]

[mirrorblade]

I can't think of any real trees that could grow this big over winter, but I guess it's not impossible here. Maybe it has something to do with this experiment going on...

And now Nagisa tilts her head a bit.] ..Eh? There's an experiment...? [Because she had no idea! Everything in this past week has seemed completely normal, after all.]

Y-you mean you haven't noticed?

E-eh..? N-no, I haven't! How do you know there is one...? [Are you psychic, Claude...]

[mirrorblade]

[MOSTLY. But her response is a little disappointing. It meant she was just like Precis, so he decides to just let it drop. There was no point in arguing about it if she wouldn't believe him.]

No clue. Must be my imagination.

[Oh dear. Did she say something wrong...]

Claude...?

N-nothing, nothing. [He laughs nervously. Totally nothing upsetting about your friends thinking you're some kinda weird liar. 8| They're pretty close to one of the trees now, so he can use that to change the subject.] Here, let me see if I can reach one of these...

[Fortunately for Claude, Nagisa is easily distracted. So once they reach the tree, she's really just focused on that and the fruit.. And so she'll (kind of) root for him as he's reaching for the fruit.]

You can do it, Claude...!

[mirrorblade]

[You know, Nagisa, the last time Claude cheered for someone, they got a pair of dragons stuck to the poor guy's back. This can't be good karma...!

But fortunately, Claude is tall enough that it isn't very hard to reach the fruit, and he manages to get his hands on one in no time. He looks it over before offering it to her.]

Here you go.

[AND THEN

A PAIR OF PAOPU FRUIT FLY DOWN FROM THE TREE

AND ATTACH THEMSELVES TO CLAUDE'S BACK

okay no. But Nagisa gives Claude a big smile when he hands her the fruit.]

Thank you very much, Claude! Um... Did you want to try some too?

[TAKE RESPONSIBILITY, NAGISA!!!]

Well, I guess a little piece couldn't hurt. [He takes the fruit and breaks off one of the star's "points." It's still kind of a big piece, but he doesn't have to eat all of it. He hands the rest of the fruit back to her.] It smells really sweet.

[cherishedmiracle]

[BUT YOU DON'T WANT TO KILL THE POOR FRUITS, DO YOU...

Sniffing her piece for a moment, she nods.] Ahh it really does smell sweet! And it smells kind of good, too... [The question is, does it taste good too? Well, there's only one way to find out! And so she takes a bite to taste it..!]

[YOU'RE RIGHT... I JUST CAN'T DO IT...

He decides to take a small bite of the fruit. It tastes as sweet as it smells! It tastes pretty good, though... Too good, in fact. He ends up eating the whole piece before he realizes it.]

Wow... It's amazing!

[cherishedmiracle]

[IF YOU WANT TO CHILL WITH NAGISA JUST SAY SO THEN. Rather than being a paopu fruit murderer...]

It tastes wonderful! I really like it. [Almost as much as dangos. Maybe. Claude had only taken that one point of it though, and as much as Nagisa likes it, there's no way she could finish the rest, so she breaks off another piece and offers it to him.] You can take some more if you want, Claude!

[Nagisa is more understanding than he thought...! He smiles at her offer.]

Don't mind if I do.

[And he'll eat that piece, too. He thought the fact that people were eating this stuff so willingly was really strange, but... well, he's pretty much completely forgotten about that already.]

Once he takes that piece, she continues to finish up her own. The fruits are delicious, so clearly there's nothing to be suspicious about at all!]

Ahh I can see why lots of people have been eating these!

Yeah, me, too. I wonder if they have things like this in the store?

[She goes to the grocery store on a near-daily basis..] I haven't seen them there before, but maybe they'll start appearing there because everyone likes them so much.

[And then the thought of paopu fruit smoothies comes to mind. That sounds like a really good idea yes.]
