Prescribed Recreation part 3: Chillax'n with a Vengeance
Who: House 44, House 46, House 3, Saori, Steve Rogers, and whoever wanders in
What: Movie night on the beach
When: September 9th, in the evening
Where: The Beach
Summary: After an unfortunate tussle with a Chaos God, work on a farm, a swarm of refugees and stress piled upon stress, sometimes all anyone wants is to sit back and watch classic movies.
Rating: PG for possible adult language
Something that everyone could agree on was this: the past three weeks had been several shades of stressful. What they needed, what they all needed was something mindless and relaxing shared in the company of those they care for in a neutral environment. The beach works well enough, and it's not that far a trip for anyone involved.

Helios, how are you feeling?

I feel quite a bit better. Thanks you everyone helping me.
no subject
It-it was no trouble, really. I-I mean it was the least I could do. I'm glad you're f-feeling better.
no subject
I still appreciate it. You make wonderful soup, Helios.

[It's soft and fond from where Adele's making her way over to Helios. She'd invited him, and hoped he'd wish to stay. She won't force the issue, it's not hers to do so, but she will ask him to at least see a little bit of the Movie. She thinks he'd enjoy it. And Luminair always enjoyed spending some time on the sandy beach. It's easy enough to scoop up the frolicking little dragon on her way to Helios' side.]
I am glad you came.

[ He looks a little uncertain as he takes in the surrounding area. Another soft cough as he covers his mouth with his hand. His voice a bit raspier then when he speaks, before he clears his throat. ] Wh-what movie was it again?
no subject
[enough to consider asking something a bit personal. But that could wait until after she's cuddled the small dragon a while longer.]
Superman.
...
Helios...what are your thoughts on a romantic relationship in the village?
no subject
[ Helios looks a bit surprised at that but it quickly turns into curious look. ] R-Romantic relationships...
[ A pause and a thoughtful hum. ] I don't think it's a bad thing to, ah, h-have here. [ Giles and Ginia certainly got along fine. ] Wh-why?
[ Though he is somewhat gaining an understanding of where this is going. ]

[She scritches Luminair's chin, taking the time to phrase her words very carefully.]
I...am considering starting one. If Ben's of a mind. I'm just not certain how to go about speaking to him of this.

And speaking of sweets...]
Those treats look delicious Helios. What are they?
no subject
Oh! These? They're just, um, a variation of-of popcorn in my world. There's caramel, chocolate covered, and cheddar cheese. Also r-regular buttered popcorn if you don't like the other three.

[She sees you Luminair, don't you worry. Sliding the tea cup over the surface of one of the tables towards Helios as a way of silently offering it to him she leans down to scoop the little dragon up into her arms. It was getting easier to put the darkess of those few days behind her, and seeing Luminair certainly helped wipe the shadow from her mind.]
Hello Luminair! I hope you've been well.
no subject
[ Helios watches with a wry smile, he notes how happy Luminair and Sabriel and that makes his own disposition just a bit brighter. He'll look over at the offered tea cup, knowing it was Sabriel's silent way of giving it to him. So he'll pick it up and take a sip at he continues to watch the two of them. Luminair gives a happy chirp as he licks Sabriel's face. A little contented purr erupts from him as he nuzzles Sabriel happily. ]
He's been a bit happy to get out. I've afraid I've had him cooped up a bit more than usual. [ Though they were still going on their afternoon and evening walks. ] He has quite the bit of energy lately.

[Muffling a soft laugh as Luminair licks her face she can't help but hug the little dragon tight. He might not be able to speak just yet but he felt more like a baby brother than a true pet; he was just so sensitive to the people around him. Perhaps it was Luminair brightness that kept the memory of Apep's shadow at bay whenever she and Helios met these days. With a creature so happy and jubilantly alive so close, it was impossible for something so dark as the Chaos god to be near.
She was glad that Helios had Luminair for company. After all he'd been through, he could use more of that brightness in his life.]
I don't know if it's just because he's so excited but he seems bigger than I remember.

Eying you a bit.
Finally, however, he comes to offer Helios a small nod.]
"Hello."
[No praise of the sand castles today, I'm afraid.]

[He offers a smile- friendly, if not terribly warm.]
"Consider this a correction of that oversight. How have you been?"
no subject
[ He looks down at the sand before snatching another glimpse at Luminair. ]
no subject
[He looks at Luminair as well, watching the little dragon frolic with a slight smile.
And then there was a silence. Of the most awkward variety.]

[ a frown. ] I suppose I got a little, um, distracted. [ That is a slight understatement of course. ]
no subject
[But there's a sly, if distant, smile.]
You were having fun.
no subject
[ And it calms the nerves. ]
