Summary: It's a wintertime jamboree. Go ice skating. Hand out gifts to those you love. (Or want to prank, as the case may be.) Deal with meddling, creepy elves. Kiss a lot of people. It'll be good. Except for the parts where it'll be awkward. But that's what we're here for, isn't it?
Rating: Anywhere from PG to R, I imagine. If you need to play out sexytimes, please either fade to black and take it elsewhere or CLEARLY mark the thread in the subject line. (The former is preferable, but not strictly necessary.)

[Firo's plan backfires. He'd hoped that bringing up their mutual friend would make Crow back down easily, but he finds himself getting angry at Crow's response.]

So you're fine with makin' him cry?

[tomodachi]

[irk]

Of course not. That's why I'd even bother with being extra careful to not fall off so that he wouldn't get upset about it. [gosh why do you have this assumption that we would be that klutzy to just go fall off roofs for kicks...]

[immamartillo]

It doesn't matter how careful you are.

[He folds his arms over his chest and sighs.]

I'll come with you to keep an eye on you and make sure you don't get hurt. Since, you know, I'd rather not have Seto gettin' sad.

[That's a lie, he wants to see the pretty town from above.]

[tomodachi]

[wow for a second there he's almost surprised that you're wanting to come along to make sure that we don't get hurt, but then he pulls up that annoyed attitude again]

Geez, would'ya stop worrying? I'm not gonna get hurt or anything like that. [But otherwise he isn't really going to stop Firo from following him to the roof or anything when he makes to do his usual leap onto the nearest roof to scout around for any other good roofs to look from.

If Firo can even move from the spot he's currently standing in to do any sort of following, anyway.]

[Since there's no one else under the mistletoe with him, Firo can move. It just surprises him how much effort it takes; the snow isn't that pretty, is it? His desire for a better view and keep an eye on Crow wins out in the end, but he is a slow to follow at first.]

That's why I'm comin', so I can make sure you don't get hurt.

[He stops and watches Crow leap onto the roof. He's not about to try that so he searches for some sort of box to stand on for a boost.]

Hang on.

[tomodachi]

[If you insist, but Crow will be tapping his foot a little impatiently from where he's currently standing on this roof.]

Well come on then, don't just keep us waiting!

Just be patient!

[With much less agility than Crow, Firo clambers onto the roof. He cautiously rises to his feet; he wouldn't be able to stand the embarrassment from slipping after warning Crow against it.]

Okay, okay. Which way now?

[tomodachi]

[About time you got up here. He points in a direction.]

This way--try to keep up, got it? [Though even with Crow being able to move a little faster than Firo can across the roof, Crow does at least seem to be keeping an eye on his feet to make sure he doesn't slide across any potential ice patches up here as he leads away to the indicated spot...]

Relax, I will!

[He tries to go as fast as he can without risking slipping, which keeps him lagging a few feet behind Crow.]

Do you spend any time on the ground?

[Obviously an exaggeration, it's just amazing how well Crow can move on the rooftop.]

[tomodachi]

[The exaggeration went right over Crow's head, sorry. He casts a look behind him at the other.] Huh? Duh, of course I do--I was on the ground just a second ago talkin' to you, remember?

[He turns back to walking ahead, still talking though.] Besides, everyone knows high places are some of the best places to be, and you see way more stuff up here than you do down there.

[And birds like to be high up here too sometimes, so it's only fitting for a "Crow" to be up here, obviously.]

I know, I was just--never mind.

[Arguing over something so petty is pointless, especially when Firo has to devote much concentration just to staying on his feet.]

I wouldn't say everybody does, some people hate heights, you know?

[Firo doesn't have anything against them, but right now he would rather be on the ground.]

[tomodachi]

Huh? Why would anyone hate heights?

[It's not like it's scary being up here or something...]

I think they're afraid of fallin' to their deaths.

[Luckily they're not on that high a roof, but broken bones aren't fun either.]

Back where I come from the buildings are a whole lot higher, so it can happen.

[tomodachi]

[Crow actually seems surprised for a moment--he hadn't really considered the idea that humans could actually die from falling off really high buildings...but he shrugs it off and soon he comes to a stop at what seems to be a suitable location to stop and watch.]

How's this? [He gestures outwards towards the people walking around below them and all the snow falling.] What do you think of the view from here? Pretty cool, right?

[Firo makes his way over to Crow--nearly slipping but balancing with his arms to catch himself. Hesitantly, he peers over the edge. He didn't expect anything too impressive, but now that he's actually seeing the town from above he's floored. Forgetting his quibbling with Crow, he smiles.]

Wow... That's amazing!

[tomodachi]

[Crow grins at the other's reaction]

Heh, see? I told'ya that the view was better up here!

[immamartillo]

[He spends a few more moments marveling over the view before backing away from the edge, suddenly embarrassed at showing so much enthusiasm around Crow. At least he's not making fun of him.]

...Yeah, you were right. It's not so bad up here.

[He pauses, a very bad idea brewing in his mind.]

Is there any place higher?

[tomodachi]

[Now you're starting to speak our language! Crow glances around before pointing to another higher spot nearby them.]

There! That should be a good spot to look from right there too!

[immamartillo]

[Firo looks to where Crow's pointing and nods emphatically.]

Yeah, looks great!

[He starts in that direction, nearly slipping once again as he moves too fast. Sheepishly, he glances at Crow, hoping that went unnoticed.]

Lead on.

[tomodachi]

[He noticed, but he just laughs a little without saying anything else this time as he turns and leads the way, climbing up on top of another taller roof next door to reach the spot he indicated.

We'd help you out with climbing or not slipping around on the way there, but we're Crow. And besides you should be able to figure out how to do so yourself and get up on here.]

[immamartillo]

[Hearing Crow laugh, Firo can't stop himself from pouting slightly. He can't be the only person who's slipped on an icy roof! But Crow doesn't otherwise comment, so he counts himself lucky and moves on, now more carefully.

It takes some effort, but he manages to haul himself up after Crow without any injury. Now that they're even higher up, he reminds himself that he needs to be the responsible one (even if he's by far the worst climber).]

Careful.

[tomodachi]

Yeah yeah, but there's no need to be tellin' me that--I could even stand on my hands up here if I wanted to!

[crow don't that's like the worst idea to have on an icy roof]

[immamartillo]

What? No you couldn't, that's crazy!

[Though he wouldn't be surprised to hear that Crow really had tried it before.]

[tomodachi]

Of course I could! I'll even prove it!

[NO CROW, NO...but before Firo could potentially grab and stop him, with a quick movement of a jump, he's now standing on both hands on a part of the roof and it's probably a miracle his hands didn't slide through a patch of ice here yet. Crow's probably lucky he's a robot, otherwise he couldn't pull that off that well...

He grins a bit smugly.] See? Told'ya I could do it.

[immamartillo]

Wait, no-!

[Firo takes a step forward to stop Crow, but he's too late. He's stunned that Crow hasn't slipped, but he's sure the kid's luck can't hold out for too long.]

S-stop that! You'll fall!
