Who: OPEN! Anyone! Teachers, Students, anyone dropping in for the open classes, anyone at the battledome (from about 1-3 pm), newcomers with questions, etc!
What: Catchall school days
When: March! (You can vary the dates if you'd like, if you want something from last week or on the 17th and onward, it's fairly open there.)
(Classes run from 9 AM-roughly 2:30 PM, and the log can include before and after-school activities)
Where: School / Battle Dome
Summary: It's been a quiet few weeks in Luceti, but school is still in session!

[For some sense of guidelines:

- Anyone joining for the first time is allowed to poke around and ask questions and (possibly) take or have handwaved taking a test so they can join in immediately!

- The playground is open for after school or lunch break interactions. The cafeteria is also open. Also, random classrooms are available for students wanting to use it for private tutoring/study hall sessions/club meetings whatnot.

- World Sharing and Magic lessons are held at the battle dome, so non-attendees can observe if they like.

- You're not limited to the headers! Just do what you want--these are just some suggestions as to what's going on, but they aren't the be-all-and-end-all of what can be played with! Chat with each other, set up things! It's meant to be for CR!]

[For this month students have had a few projects to look forward to in writing, along with their usual assignments.

The Above Average/Advanced groups and the BelowAverage/Average groups will be divided up into those two groups, respectively, so that each group can work together on putting together characters and ideas for a play. Of course it's a group effort so they will be marked accordingly. They'll have a few guidelines to follow - they can base it off of an existing story, as long as they put it into a play format. Not all of them have to perform as long as they help with the script. They can pool a few ideas together before one is randomly selected for each group.

It's a little more fun than diagramming sentences, right? Though of course extra help is available when needed - they're just encouraged to work with each other a little more.]

Very much in the Average group, she is absolutely stymied as to how in the world one went about composing a play. Something for entertainment? It's not that she can't understand the point. It's simply that far outside of her realm of experience, she has no idea how to go about making it.. work. )

The point of a play is to tell a story.

[These lessons involve comparing different sets of weights and measures and just how it varies from world to world, and measuring their rooms and seeing what they could come up with and

It's a little easier to work on, now that the season is starting to change, though at least most of the research portion of it should be done by now.

Work together, or work alone! Just don't make too much of a mess, and those better not be dangerous plants...]

[Rock Lee is presenting his own vivarium. It's fairly healthy enough, even though his partner was among the students who have gone home.]

I have been talking to my plats regularly in order to inspire them to grow and be healthy! And... I have been looking up names to give them, so they have identities to make stronger! For example, this handsome plant is Roger-kun, The Dynamite Vegetative Fighter for Glory!

[Have a seat, relax, talk about your day so far with your friends, talk to someone new, either bring your own lunch or take from some of the provided food (which may or may not be swiped from the convenience store) which are basically sandwiches, rice balls, cookies from the bakery, etc. And bottled juices and water.]

[Mytho has been increasingly scarce since Valentines week. He's had a number of random absences where in the past he has usual been almost robotically punctual about classes.

And now during, lunch, he's similarly isolated. He eats a small meal in a corner, but occasionally he has moments where he grabs his heart and seems to be in pain.]

[Duck isn't sure how to go about a lot of this stuff. She doesn't seem to really have a lot of knowledge with normal school, but she'll learn. But for now, the aspect of meeting new people is exciting. Although, she can't help that new girl feeling. So sitting by herself for the time being, she'll just eat her rice balls and sandwich she made for herself at the bakery.]

[ Well Rin and Shiemi probably have matching meals, so that's a thing. But mostly, Rin is just glad to be eating now! He was out the door way too early and didn't get a breakfast as the result. So he is glad to be devouring it, and might be all the messier for it ]

[Mondays and Wednesdays, the classes have been a bit more free-for-all with Raine's distraction - as long as there's some kind of completed project, it's all good.

Though for a loose theme, it's basically to create three-dimensional objects that stand out, whether they want to play with the clay or carve boards or paint boxes and stick things all over them - just do all the fun things.]

[Tuesdays and Thursdays - Jack Vessalius is the lone teacher now, and he specializes in piano. Though that shouldn't keep students from trying out other instruments, either...]

[He may be the only teacher now, but lacking in enthusiasm Jack isn't. Lacking in discipline, however... well, maybe a little bit. At least he keeps his classes fun!

And probably loud and raucous too, but hey, that's part of the fun, right? He doesn't even mind if students want to practice by themselves in the back of the class while he's teaching something else.]

[The weather still isn't ideal enough for outdoor lessons, though the battledome at least provides a stable enough environment to practice in, not to mention comfortable settings can be designed for any of the lecture and observation portions.

Students will be allowed to demonstrate some of their own world's powers - if they have any that they'd like to show off, time will be given to practice any magic they might have learned from the spirits. More specific abilities will rotate depending on the day, and some might double up depending on how many are able to actually practice at all.

And of course if anyone just wants to ask questions, Raine and Helios are both there to answer and assist them.]

[For the first time in months, Billy's decided to attend magic class. He's so far behind in the lessons and still awkward around magic itself, so he doesn't practice it yet, but... well, he's there. It's the first step. And he's trying to watch the magic demonstrations around him without getting too uncomfortable about it.

It's been so long since he witnessed a spell up close and firsthand and it's much, much harder than he thought it would be. He spends a lot of time taking notes and staring at his hands, but he's at least giving it a try.

He could probably use some encouragement, though.]

[Also being held in the Battle Dome, with transportation done by teleporting - if students weren't attending the magic lesson, they could have waited at the school, or found another way to spend the free period in the area until joining them - each day will have a student provide a "location" to visit that can be found in their world - sometimes more than one can be suggested at a time - and then they'll all spend time "visiting" that simulated location depending on how programable the place is. Go wild with suggestions!

There will also at various points be discussion about the next Cultural fair, given the work they did on it in previous years.]

[Aang has set up something for one of the air temples. And he decided that the Western Air Temple would do the best in terms of visual spectacle. They start off at the exterior of the temple, along the cliff. Of course no one can actually fall, and in fact the cliff marks the boundary of the simulation.

The teen monk is quick to act as a tour guide.]

So what should we check out first? The giant pai sho table or the all-day echo chamber?

[ When Raine isn't teaching, she's available to talk between classes (or during ones she's not present for, like Music), and for the usual private tutoring sessions, though if anyone new comes wandering in with questions she has enough coverage to step away and help them out.

So anyone - even those not signed up as students - who has a desire or need to talk to her or simply visit to have a conversation with her - they're welcome to ping her or approach her and she will speak to them. Sometimes she can be found in her office, or in the halls - and of course if it's during the times they're having lessons at the battle dome, one might approach her there as well.

For her part, she's been trying to keep herself busy, anyway. ]

[Duck had been thinking about attending school for a while, but she had been busy doing other things or have simply forgotten to. Regardless, she finally manage to get her butt in gear and go see if she could join. Seeing Raine in the halls, she walked over to her.]

[Later in the month, Sophie would have suddenly been absent for a time. When she comes back, she isn't her usual adventurous self. In fact, she's downright withdrawn--but at the same time snappish if anyone tries to prod her into participating.

At recess, she goes off to sit by herself in a corner of the playground, piling and repiling pebbles and drawing aimlessly in the dirt.]

[Aang worried, having not seen Sophie around in that long. So when he sees her in the playground, he's quick to approach her.]

[So Sophie wasn't at school today, without any advance notice. Probably a message could have been sent via journals, but Fenimore's attention had been fairly absorbed that morning and she's not exactly great at journal filters.

She slips out of house 34 sometime not long after school lets out and heads over to the school in the hopes of catching Raine still in. If Raine has left when she arrives, she'll give in and use the journal, but otherwise, she's grateful for the excuse to take a break from dealing with the fallout of Oscar's disappearance.]

[ On some days, Raine spends time after school grading the tests and homework and making sure there are enough materials for the next lesson. So Fenimore is in luck, as she will find her in the office, putting the finishing note on a paper. ]

... Fenimore? [ It's not often that she sees the Ferines in person, Sophie's lessons aside. Though with the girl notably absent, she had been meaning to at least inquire with Grune later as to what happened, and failing that contact Fenimore herself... this certainly saved a step. ]

Did something happen? [ Since obviously, Sophie wasn't present in class today. ]
