Event Log - Level One

Summary: Well. So sometimes the Malnosso actually do legitimate experiments that aren't heaped in heavy plot. This is one of those times. Look, just go read the mod post, would you?

[Meet Aang. He's a 12-year old monk who only knows airbending. And as far as anyone else is concerned? Being an airbender is all he is.

He doesn't know how he got to this strange place. Did he always have these wings? Maybe that would explain how good he is at airbending... All he knows is that people here don't seem to know he's the Avatar, or try to make him live up to his responsibilities. He doesn't even see signs of that war he heard so much about. So he feels free to just be himself.

In the morning, he explores House 56. First he does take time for meditation and prayer in the middle of the second floor's living room. He hopes Monk Gyatso can forgive him for leaving. Afterwards, he has some fun. Zipping around the fire escape in his room, going down the slide to the pool while doing a bunch of fun tricks.

And eventually, he makes his way to the rest of the village. Possibly joined by this lemur he found, or his sky bison, Appa. Aang can be found soaring through the sky on his glider or racing through the village on his air scooter. He'll stop to meet new friends - and especially when he sees interesting animals. If they're big enough to support his shrimpy self, he may just try to ride them.

Life without responsibility sure is fun...]

[Selphie's a bit baffled by what's going on in the village today. Everybody is either acting like this is nothing unusual or they're acting similar to how she was on that day back in July.

She's used to the bizarre thanks to circumstances from back home but when she see's Aang on his glider, she wonders if it's just a rather large bird. However, when the boy wooshes past her on his scooter, the wind is enough to knock her down, landing on her rear.]

HEY!

[Should Aang manage to hear her, he'll be greeted by a 17 year old girl frowning in his direction.]

[He does manage to hear... while he's laughing. He comes to a quick landing nearby.]

[Selphie looks up at the boy with a pout on her face. She heard that laughter and opts for light sarcasm before her pout turns into an amused grin.]

Sorry I didn't have time to work on my dramatic falling.

[ The fire escape isn't just in his room; Ikki's down below, too, and unlike Aang is perfectly aware of how she got here and where she is. She's sprawled beside Soren's nest, industriously coloring away, waiting for someone else to wake up so breakfast can start, since it's not a school day.

She glances up when he bends down the fire escape the first time, but only briefly, and Soren doesn't even bother to do that much, just dozing. ]

Can we have pancakes today? With strawberries and bananas and peaches and oranges - do we have all of those? I bet we do but I haven't checked yet - and smiley faces on them made out of those and syrup and sugar although I guess that doesn't need more sugar and juice to drink because I know we have juice, right?

[ This is all said as she continues coloring in her image, all concentration. ]

[Aang stops at the bottom of the fire escape, looking at this girl blankly.

She's dressed like an airbender at least, but he doesn't recognize her. He just stares blankly, between her and her bird.]

I- I don't know. Do we have all those things? I am hungry...

[He glances towards Soren.]

But I like your bird.

[breezing]

[ This wins Aang a puzzled look of Grandpa, why would you even.

...Hey.

...Grandpa looks...different. ]

Soren? I know that. And I dunno, I wasn't on groceries this week.

Day 2 or 3?

[Loki spots Aang playing with his glider and chases after him.] How do you do that?

Day 2 or 3!

[He hears the boy pursuing him. People here really don't know about bending, huh? So slows down and looks over with a smile.]

I'll gladly tell you! ...If you can catch me!

[And then he puts on a burst of speed.]

No fair! [Loki is laughing as he chases after Aang, though. He wishes he had his horse.]

[Something strange has been going around this stupid place - hat's easy enough to tell. Perona's been keeping mainly to herself and trying to figure a few things out here and there on the little book - reading and rereading the guide and other voice posts here and there, trying especially to locate anything that her other self may have left behind that'd be useful to her now. Perona's doing just that, carrying some lunch from the bakery (a toasted panini with all her favorite things inside) home. She doesn't want to be out when everyone's raving mad for too long.

But of course fate would have it that she's out just as Aang's zipping by on his air scooter. The blast of speed knocks up her gown and as she holds it down with a loud shriek, her poot hat goes tumbling through the air. MOTHER FUVKBFHKD--SOMEONE'S GOING TO LOSE THEIR HEAD.]

Aang hears the shriek and just laughs at it. As long as she's not hurt, it's all in good fun. He keeps scooting along but stays in her vicinity.]

[Wait, isn't that the kid that helped her find Bearsy? Ugh, and she actually thought he was different from the useless brats that crawled like dirty grubs all over the different Blues and the Grand Line itself. Nasty little parasites...she should have known they were all alike.]

ANNOYING BOY! Don't you dare make fun of me! Negative Hollow!

[She doesn't owe him a thing, not anymore. Nothing but a bit of justified punishment. Holding out a hand, two of Perona's hollows emerge from it and make a speedy beeline for the little whelp.]

She's making her way back from the woods when she runs into the boy on his air scooter. Five squirrel pelts hang from her belt, the carcasses carefully stowed in the bag strapped across her chest to be turned into jerky for the winter. It's autumn now, time to start stocking up on meat for the winter. Even if supplies here aren't nearly as limited as they had been once in District 12, Katniss refuses to take any chances. She has Prim to care for now. And she can't ever fail her sister again.

Something strange does appear to be going on in Luceti though. In the process of attempting to figure it out, she's stopped paying all that much attention to where she walks.

Or the scooters she walks right in the path of.

Aang had been so excited about playing around with his new friends, he wasn't paying too much attention to where he was going. He certainly wasn't used to how tightly-packed this village was. And so he only managed to let out a, "Whoa, watch ou-!" as he collided straight with the girl, the scooter dissipating at the same time.

She wasn't fast enough. First instinct said to reach for the bow. To pull out an arrow and use it to try and stop anything incoming from colliding with her. Thanks to Artemis, she had nonlethal arrows she could use. But the boy was coming in too fast. She didn't even have time to duck before she found herself falling to the ground with a painful thump.

[Having just come out of House 17 with someone just as normal as he is... nothing has changed as far as Beast is concerned. So when he spots a certain friend zoom toward him on his air... ball, thing... he of course is going to greet him with a gentle wave.] Hello, Aang-

[If he decides to stop anyway.]

[Please. Have you seen the opening credits?

Aang gives a small gasp which is too late, just before he collides into the large chest of the Beast and falls over.]

[ Toph has no idea where she is or how she got here, either. And while she's always wanted to be allowed out of the estate without having to worry about making it home before her parents realized she was gone, this... this was kind of a bit much. Especially since she usually escapes from the estate on her own terms. This time, she has no memory of even leaving.

Obviously she's been kidnapped!

She maneuvers her way around house 56 with ease thanks to the stone flooring. But there was something wrong, because while she could hear someone else on the floor with her, his steps were far too light for her to get a proper "look" at him. Was that how she'd been kidnapped? ]

Hey! You with the twinkletoes! You've got thirty seconds to tell me where I am or I'm sending you clear into next Tuesday!

[He comes to a quick halt in whatever antics he was engaging and stammers trying to address the suddenly threatening girl from nowhere.]

Um - um - um - You're in a house!

Uh yeah, genius. I can see that. [ Well, okay, no she can't. Still. ] But this isn't my house. Why did you bring me here? Do you know who I am?

[The air scooter would catch her attention a lot faster if Mia was paying attention to where she walked. Instead, she's looking up up up at the tallest buildings, wondering how they manage to support anything that high that isn't made of stone like the lighthouse.

This upturned wandering makes it very easy to walk right into the air-bubble boy.]

Ah-! [And stare. He was just floating.] Oh my...

Sorry! [At least he wasn't going too fast and the scooter didn't dissipate. So he meekly scoots back a few feet.] I didn't mean to...

[Aang is usually her height, so it's mildly startling to see him so small - at least she had been given some warning to his new state, and otherwise he looks mostly the same. So many young faces ...

She's adding a touch of color to one of her own signs with a crayon provided by Ikki when the little bender scoots by. Hmm.]

[He sees the woman out of the corner of his eye as he passes, and then he backs up until the air scooter is stationary right behind Raine, so that he could perch over her shoulder from his perch.]
