[Albert doesn't come down the road as he returns home. He instead chooses to wade through the forest, oddly comfortable despite the dampness and slick patches of grass and moss. He even finds himself entertaining himself by walking on a fallen log, arms out to his sides for balance as he heads home.

He appears content and relaxed as he leaves the forest, keeping his backpack in place as he approaches the house.]

[Kogoro is the first one to notice Albert, but he doesn't do much to show it. He just sits there quietly, watching him. Go figure.

Caesar, on the other hand, glances up and sees the kid approaching, but he doesn't pay him any mind, quickly turning his attention back to his book. You're not who he's looking for.]

[Noticing that neither Caesar or the dog are paying attention to him, Albert decides this could be a good thing and decides to be as nonchalant as he can about it. Because he know Caesar, and there's only so many ways that he'll react to this experiment change.

He climbs up the porch steps, making his way for the front door.]

[Caesar looks up again when he hears the sound of someone coming up the stairs. That's definitely weird—most people at least say something before approaching the house, especially when they're going to be inviting themselves up onto the porch. But maybe he's not thinking about how weird it is anymore when he recognizes that boy's face, his hair, his eyes. He's kind of just staring.

...really? It made sense with the noises he'd heard during that transmission, but really?]

Uh... good afternoon.

[And when Albert looks in Caesar's direction, one pointed ear may be visible. He gives him an unimpressed look as he shifts his backpack.]

Good afternoon, Caesar.

[Well, it was definitely his brother, there was no doubt about that. But what the heck was he supposed to be?]

What are you, a little elf?

I don't know. Perhaps. [He looks a little impatient.] You are aware that there is an experiment in effect, correct?

Apparently so. [He gestures toward Albert and leans back a little in his chair.] I feel just fine.

I wasn't asking how you felt. [Albert frowns as Caesar gestures to him, taking a few steps away from the front door and towards Caesar.] What is it?

I mean I don't think I'm affected. [He rolls his eyes a little. Jerk. Caesar watches his brother as he steps closer, and when he stops, he points at him.]

Nice ears.

[... ...Have another unimpressed look, little brother.]

Nice of you to notice.

I do try, brother. [He almost said 'little'. He makes another gesture.] What's in the bag?

My clothes. Or did you not notice my current attire, either? [Enough with the stupid questions, Caesar.]

It's hard not to. Your clothing is especially colorful today. [It's obvious from his attitude alone that his brother isn't pleased with all this. ...this doesn't stop Caesar, of course.] I thought you might have brought home some new toys.

Toys? [He frowns.]

I was just kidding. [Albert may not be amused, but at least Caesar amuses himself.] It could be worse, I suppose. You're not that different.

[At least, not as far as he could tell.]

Small favors. It could always be worse. [He steps back so he can open the door to the house, since clearly Caesar had no good reason to call him over.]

[Caesar picks up a piece of fruit and sticks it into his mouth. Perhaps unsurprisingly, he talks while he chews.]

Need help with anything?

No.

[He opens the door, walking inside and shutting the door without another word. Of course it was like Caesar to do this. He normally wasn't affected by experiments immediately, for that matter.

Albert heads to his room intending to drop of his clothes, but thinks better of it and heads to the laundry room instead. His clothes had gotten dirty and needed to be washed, so...

...

The washer and dryer look huge when he's this height. How is he going to get the soap?]

[Caesar snorts a little, but he lets him go. There wasn't anything particularly dangerous that he could get into in the house, right? So he'd be okay. Besides, he'd probably already taken more than enough hits to his pride for now. So he'll just finish his lunch up for now. And when he does, he'll go inside and put his dishes in the sink if Albert hasn't returned yet.]

[When Caesar heads into the kitchen, he might hear the washer finally starting. Albert had resourcefully headed into his room to get the stool, then climbed up to get the detergent and work the washer. It just took ... adjustments and some struggling and maybe a little more detergent getting on his shirt than he would have wanted. But his clothes are getting washed now, darn it. :|

He finally heads out into the hallway and towards the front of the house, dropping his journal into his backpack as he walks.

Hmm... What was he going to do now?]

[He could wash his dishes, but... nah, that's okay. He'll leave them for someone else (or do them later if no one else, you know, can). He does hear the washer go on, so once he finishes in the kitchen, he'll head over in that direction, stopping when he sees his brother along the way. His brother seems contemplative, so he asks—]

Everything all right?

[Albert looks up at Caesar's voice, maybe just a bit surprised he's already inside.

But since he asked a question...] I think I'm going to go for a walk.

A walk? [Caesar tilts his head. This seems like a good opportunity...] May I go with you?

[He blinks in slight confusion, heading for the door.] I suppose. Why?
