Summary: An amusement park has popped up in Luceti. It's all over here.
Rating: F is for friends who do stuff together!

Just some notes here not in the mod post -
1) The weather will be bright and partly cloudy for the rest of the month on the beach side of things. A nice cool sea breeze will keep people from melting out there.
2) All the old Luceti Land rides are still available. However, feel free to make up your own attractions and rides as well.
3) Since this is around for two weeks, we may put up another mass log if this one gets too full. So keep an eye on that!
4) Don't forget to tag your character's name on to the log! If you don't have one yet, just let us know and we'll get you hooked up.

As way of explanation for all this, Bil will have written a message on the first page of the journals. It cannot be replied to, it simply states:

"My condolences for all the trouble. You were due for an experiment today, but I thought you might enjoy an amusement park instead. It seemed like the sort of thing the Great One would do."

[Grune, of course, is having a ball. She's sure Dhaos is enjoying himself, too. And she's going to make sure he's enjoying himself even more by bringing him one of her new discoveries: cotton candy! Because Dhaos loves sweet things, right?]

Here, Dhaos! These are very good. [Have a giant pink thing of cotton candy being held out at you by a very happy Grune.]

[Why, Dhaos totally loves sweet things. So he shall happily indulge Grune by... staring at that. Pink things had a tendency to not be edible...]

It's called cotton candy. It's very good. [Says, uh, the woman with no sense of taste. But it really is good.]

[Cotton... candy. Cotton candy. ...Probably named for its appearance. How the heck do you eat it?

Dhaos reaches out and takes it, and proceeds to do his usual routine of just staring at it.]

Oh, yes. You should try it!

[Grune has eaten enough of it in recent days to make an ordinary woman sick.]

[Grune would say anything is good and Dhaos knows it, but he's not sure he wants to just give her yet another "I'd rather not". So with a mental sigh, Dhaos takes a bite.

And, like most cotton candy, it melts in his mouth almost immediately.]

...Far too sweet.

Hmm.... Maybe we could get some salt.

[Such a fount of good ideas, Grune.]

[Yes, while Dhaos has certainly never put salt on candy before, it doesn't take a genius to know that it is unlikely to taste much better. Dhaos holds it out to her.]

[Fortunately, she takes it as a sign of Dhaos' generosity, rather than of his disenchantment with her treat.]

Oh, thank you! That's very kind of you.

[She accepts it and takes a happy bite.]

Mm. [He was hoping she would. Dhaos quite willingly hands it over and watches her eat.

...So easily pleased.]

WMP really needs to stop bringing up "Don't Cha."

[For a while, she's entirely occupied with her cotton candy. Then, she looks up to ask:] What would you like to do next?

[Dhaos really has no idea. They had carnivals somewhat similar to this on Derris-Kharlan, but this is... not Derris-Kharlan, and he didn't have too much to do back then, either.]

...Anything other than the rides.

It's a sign. Maybe if we obey it, it will? XD;

[Dhaos looks up at the nearest roller coaster. As it happens, the latest ride is cresting the first rise, and a scream goes up as it zooms back down.] I rather doubt it.

Oh, but you never know until you try.

Sometimes, you can be fairly sure. [...Sigh.] We should just walk. We can decide what to do when we find something.

All right. [Grune goes back to eating her cotton candy. Maybe Dhaos will see something he likes when they're walking.]

[So down the path they go, sloooowly strolling about the park. Dhaos doesn't mind the walk, really, or the company. Or the fact that there's really nothing to do. It's just that he'll probably end up feeling ridiculous at some point, and given that the main attraction besides the rides seems to be the food, well...

...Unfortunately for him, there are plenty of things other than rides and food for Grune to coerce him into.]

Have Grune, tugging at your arm.] We should try one of those games. They look like so much fun!

[Noooooo Grune. Nooooo. Dhaos does not do the carnival game thing.

He lets her drag him over anyway.]

[Maybe she'll let him off on the rides if he relents. This one doesn't look too bad-- there are some giant rubber duckies and animal plushes as prizes here, and a couple plushies of the villages themselves.]
