Summary: An amusement park has popped up in Luceti. It's all over here.
Rating: F is for friends who do stuff together!

Just some notes here not in the mod post -
1) The weather will be bright and partly cloudy for the rest of the month on the beach side of things. A nice cool sea breeze will keep people from melting out there.
2) All the old Luceti Land rides are still available. However, feel free to make up your own attractions and rides as well.
3) Since this is around for two weeks, we may put up another mass log if this one gets too full. So keep an eye on that!
4) Don't forget to tag your character's name on to the log! If you don't have one yet, just let us know and we'll get you hooked up.

As way of explanation for all this, Bil will have written a message on the first page of the journals. It cannot be replied to, it simply states:

"My condolences for all the trouble. You were due for an experiment today, but I thought you might enjoy an amusement park instead. It seemed like the sort of thing the Great One would do."

[Grune smiles and waves at little Ginia before turning that same smile to Rupert.]

Is Rex your pet? He looks very friendly.

[If Ginia wasn't so confused and a little weirded out by the situation, she might find little Giles to be adorable and sweet. She's always had a soft spot for children.

But this is pretty weird as it is.

Little Ginia smiles shyly and gently writes out the letters of her name in the air, then gives a tiny little curtsy.]

[Rupert nods and smiles proudly as he hefts the dog in his arms.] Yeah! Rex is my dog. Dad doesn't like 'im much - Mum's the one who got him for me. He's pretty thick, but he always likes goin' for walks so I like 'im.

[He nods over at Ginia.

She says her name's Ginia. She'd say it's nice to meet you 'cept she can't talk. That's okay, though, mum says it would be a funny old world if we were all alike.

[Then he frowns back at Giles.] Hey, d'you mind movin' over? it's weird having to talk to her like this.

[Giles, looking...heartily stunned and entirely disbelieving, moves to do as he's bidden, moving to stand next to Ginia. The boy nods his approval before walking into Ginia's frame.]

[Grune shifts over accordingly so she can talk to both the children face-to-face. She quite clearly finds not a thing strange about speaking with younger versions of her friends through a mirror.]

Yes, that's what makes everyone special. [She looks over at Ginia.] Do you have any pets?

It's almost 2 AM here so if I stop tagging it's because I fell asleep.

[Ginia gives a startled laugh when young Giles speaks, translating for her silent self. She gives Giles a small smile.]

/You are a very polite child,/ [she teases gently with a mild laugh, truly surprised at everything.

At Grune's question, the young girl gives a shake of her head, small hands signing as a disconnected voice with a light Italian accent translates for their convenience.]

/No... there's not enough space in the apartment. But Momma lets me feed the cats outside!/

I had to be. [He keeps his voice low, though, so as not to interrupt his younger self's cheerful stream of chatter. Although at the mention of cats, he looks at Ginia askance]

Cats? Cats are no fun. All they do is sleep an' sit on things. Alice is always after mum to get a cat, but Dad doesn't like 'em either.

[He scuffs the toe of one trainer against the floor before cautiously amending.] But I guess they're okay if you live inna flat.

[To Ginia:] The cats must be very happy you're looking after them.

[And to Giles:] It's all right if you like Rex better. Everyone likes different things.

/I like cats!/ [There's a bit of shy pouting as she glances over at him moving to clutch her book against her chest.] /They're soft to pet and it's so cute when they purr. Though I like dogs too. One day I'm going to have a big house and have my own dog. Two dogs./

[Ginia can't help but smile as she hears her younger's words. As a little girl, she had her life plan all figured out. Big house, lots of pets, be a professional dancer, run a bar on nights she wasn't dancing. The perfect life.]

Really? [He beams in evident approval and excitement.] That sounds like a great idea. I have a big house. Everybody should have a big house. Then you can have lots of dogs and horses and cats and never have to go inside 'cept when Mum makes everyone sit down for dinner.

[Then the boy looks around, frowning in honest puzzlement, before looking back at Grune.] Beg your pardon, missus, but I think your reflection's a bit slow. Want me to go looking for her? Rex is really good at sniffin' people out.

Yup! We'll be here when you wake up. <3

Oh, do you think you could find her? That would be very nice--then we can all talk together!

[The girl gives a happy nod and motions for them to follow, running off the mirror and disappearing.

A few seconds later she sheepishly returns, waiting for everyone to actually follow along.]

[The boy laughs affectionately before taking Ginia's hand with the one not busy holding Rex] I'm comin', I'm comin'.

[With both of them apparently on the same page, he'll proceed to lead young Ginia out of the mirror.

About ten seconds later, he'll reappear, leading the third persona by the hang.]

[With every inch of the persona that appears in the frame, the mirror darkens. It's a moving darkness, foglike, and it seems to emenate from the persona herself.

The woman standing before them is tall, her posture perfect. She's dressed in shades of black and purple, and most of her face is covered by a mask. Every part of her, from the little of her expression that shows beneath the mask to her body, is inhumanly still.

She drops Rupert's hand the moment she is fully in the frame. It's clear she consented to the gesture only long enough to find her way. When she speaks, her voice is utterly without emotion.]

Grune. Why are you here?

Timezones, waah. Though I'll be back to PST in under two weeks.

[Ginia, the real one, stands up as Grune's reflection is brought over to them. With the appearance of herself and Giles as children she half-expected to see a younger version of Grune. This is...

Ginia glances over at Grune and Giles, then over at the reflections, her younger self having gone to stand closer, almost hiding, by Rupert.]

No more Japan?

[Rupert lets her hide, watching Grune's reflection with polite, if wary curiosity, even as Rex buries his snout under the boy's arm. Narrowly escaping kidnapping by faeries at the age of five tends to do that to a boy's view of the supernatural and the strange.

He does catch Giles' eye, though, to shrug and smile apologetically. Sorry, man, he grabbed whoever he could find.]

[Grune rises as well, slowly. Her gaze remains on the persona the entire time. When she's standing, it's easy to see the only difference in height between the two women comes from their bearing.

She's almost certain she knows this woman, but the details will not come. ...Are not ready to come?

Now why did she think that?]

Do I know you?

[The comtempt that shades the persona's voice is barely there.]

Have you truly forgotten that much?

I've forgotten how awesome Legendia's music was. And yes. Flying home on the 31st.

[A shade of the past? Another personality? Ginia's mind runs through the varying possibilities, not judging at all, but trying to make sense of it. In truth, she's more worried for Grune than anything else.]

[Intimidating, yes, even threatening and mocking, but...not evil. Giles isn't quite getting an evil vibe, although that doesn't mean he's at all comfortable staring at the other woman.

It's an effort to speak, for fear of dislodging Grune form whatever strange state of mind she seems to have drifted off into. But speak Giles does, even if he isn't at all certain the dark woman can hear him.]

Yes, I'm afraid she has.

[The persona slowly turns her head to look at him. When she speaks, once again, all emotion is absent from her voice.]

Child of man, it is not your place to speak.

[She returns her gaze to Grune.]

You should not be here.

[Grune blinks, then looks around the Hall of Personas for a moment before returning to match the gaze of the woman in the mirror.]

Oh, but we wanted to come here. It was a lot of fun, meeting Ginia and Rupert.

[shadedsunlight]

[Ginia is quiet as she observes everything, still trying to piece things together. Whoever the woman is, everything that happens, she knows they need to remember. It may be important down the road.

To her own persona, Ginia crouches down and signs something over to her. The little girl looks scared, but nods, crossing over to the dark woman to give a tiny tug to her sleeve.]

/She wants to know what your name is./

[Rupert looks stunned, to say the least, when Ginia creeps over to Schwartz. He reaches out to try and grab her sleeve, hissing] O-Oy! Get back here!

[Giles, for his part, frowns in evident irritation at being brushed off. And that, of course, is probably what leads him to comment further.]

And she isn't speaking, in point of fact.

[lostinmyway]

[The persona looks down at the child pulling her her sleeve. She then returns her gaze to Grune. When she speaks, her response is intended for everyone save Grune.]

It is not for you to know.

[When she speaks again, it's as though the only person that exists is Grune.] You were not called to this world. You are not meant to be here.

[Grune frowns, just a little.] Aren't I? But it's so nice here. I'm making so many friends.

[Ginia also frowns at the brush off, but is there any point in arguing with a figure in a mirror? Instead, she'll settle back to listen and observe the conversation occurring, keeping all comments to herself.

Her part done, little Ginia will be running back to Rupert and staying back at his side. This adult is scary.]

[Rupert will step in front of Ginia, now frowning quite noticeably up at Shwartz. He says nothing, however, simply...watches.

Giles does the same, staring fixedly at the strange woman after one last concerned look at Grune. He makes a point to memorize any relevant details for later investigation or research.

"Son of man", hm?]

[It's the movement that catches Grune's eye, and she looks first to Rupert and Ginia in the mirror, then Ginia and Giles outside of it. She frowns again, and there's an unusual firmness in her voice when she speaks.]

I think you should go now, Schwartz. You're not being very nice.

[Schwartz looks at her without reacting.] Very well. Continue in your folly for now. In time, you will remember. Though, by then, it may already be too late.

[The black mist surrounding her abruptly swells, and when it dissipates, Schwartz is gone.]
