Long Ago In A Distant Land, Akai, the fully functional fonbot, unleashed a fairly standard mod post. But a foolish player kept asking questions and come on, do you really need to know that much? Now everyone wants to play out their ships and get into fruit shenanigans and undo to evil that is AKAI.

OH YEAH! So like, assume there is stands (or you know, beach-appropriate huts) here and there that are stocked up on bathing suits (and curtains you can change behind), stands with beverages, and snacks. Nobody's really operating them, new stuff just gets Shifted there (BUT ONLY IF YOU'RE NOT WATCHING). The Malnosso are the most considerate bro-ginization ever.

[Oh. It's Suki. This is an amazing day. And honestly he'd love to spend it with the woman he loves. Or. The one he thinks he loves. But if they needed anymore confirmation of an experiment, this was definitely it.

But. They can talk. They're both from the same world, so take away the love and they've gotta still be friends, right?]

Oh... [Sokka. Oh dear. Suki shifts a little awkwardly, scratching at a spot on her arm, and nods. This won't be awkward at all.] Yeah... it's awfully festive, isn't it? And everyone seems to be having such a good time.

Yeah, I noticed. It must be... nice. [He kinda wishes he was doing it.] But they'll probably regret it tomorrow.

[kyoshi]

M... maybe. I mean... some of it could be real, right...?

[Warily said. She's not suggesting that they do anything, of course, but... she misses being close to him. She misses it a lot.]

For some of them. [He remains somewhat skeptical and jaded.] Though. I guess if you knew that it was all fake... you could probably keep yourself from doing something you'd regret. [He thinks of the fruit. Say what you will of them, they do look tasty. And inviting. And every time he passes by one, it takes longer to look away.]

...I... think so. And we're friends anyway! It's okay to just hang out. We can still have fun that way, right?

[Even if she has to keep fighting the urge to touch him or kiss him or something, it's not that bad. Just willpower. She's got plenty of that.]

Yeah, exactly! I mean, we won't get a beach like this for another three months or so. We should enjoy it while it lasts!

[They can swim. Hang out. Eat. Not make out. It'll be... okay!]

I... guess we should get those swimsuits then! [She hasn't changed yet, and the water just looks so inviting. She just won't wear anything too... flashy.]

Fortunately they put some out here. Which is unusually considerate of them. [There's even a curtain to change behind!]

Usually accepting their generosity is just asking for trouble, isn't it? [Still, she's following him anyway. She's curious about what they have over there.]

Maybe. But the way I see it, we do that every time we sleep in their houses or eat their food. So what's some conveniently-located swimming suits going to hurt?

[kyoshi]

...I guess that's true. [Alright, she's convinced. She heads for the girl's area and sifts through her options, choosing a less-revealing blue bathing suit and pointing towards the change area.] I'll be right out, and then we can go, okay?

[Sokka does the same, grabbing some trunks to change into. It takes him considerably less time to change, especially since he decided to leave his shirt on for now. When she comes out, he'll be holding one of those fruits.

He got bored okay.]

[Goodness, but he's fast. Though those swimsuits are a bit of a pain to wriggle into. When she comes out a minute or two later, a little navy skirt over the swimsuit bottom, she heads over to him, blinking at the fruit.]

You decided to pick one?

[Oh, he didn't even see her come out. He looks up, blinking and distracted by the hot lady that may or may not be the woman he wants to marry.]

I found it. Someone left it on one of the booths.

[kyoshi]

[Oh my... that fruit...}

It looks awfully good.

[And while she's at it, so does he. Focus on the fruit, Suki, focus on the fruit.]

I guess it wouldn't hurt if we split it. You know, that way it's only... half the effect. If there even is one.

[He's already starting to rip it apart.]

You think it's worth the risk? Something bad could still happen. [She says as she reaches for one of the halves.]

Well, we'll just eat a small piece, right? I just want to see what it tastes like before it's gone.

[kyoshi]

Okay... just one piece. [She takes it, cautiously lifting it to her lips. How much harm could it do, really?]

Just the one.

[He did the same, taking the time to enjoy it, chew it slowly, let the juices dance around his tongue. That sort of thing. Because it was possibly the best fruit he's ever had since last year.]

... well, it's definitely good.

[kyoshi]

...Oh! Yeah, it's delicious... I didn't expect it to be so good. [This merits another big bite. Or two. Wow.] I don't feel any different... maybe it's okay?

[Yeah, he's doing the same. Because why not?]

It probably doesn't affect us, on account of the whole... you know, love thing.

That's a pretty dangerous assumption, Sokka.

[She's still eating it, though. And... hmm. Does she feel different? It's too tasty for that to matter much.]
