What: Silver issued a battle challenge to Gold, who accepted.

Where: The Battle Dome
Summary: Gold and Silver have been in Luceti together for a year and yet have never had a single Pokémon battle. Deciding it's time to rectify, they head off to the Battle Dome to throw down!
Rating: PG? I mean, it's Pokémon...
[Gold had been anxiously waiting for this day. Sure, the standard format for Pokémon battles involved just battling whenever your eyes meet, but if they did that, there'd be constant battles all day, every day. Therefore, these things had to be planned.

...Besides that, Silver was his rival. Always has been, always will be. That makes this battle special. A battle to settle old scores... No, a battle to determine who's the best trainer out of the two of them, and furthermore... To show everyone just how it's done.

It was time. Their battle lies ahead.]

[Selphie, being one of the few non-pokemon trainers in the house has learned enough about pokemon to find them easy to live with as long as you treat them well but it's her first time seeing a battle.]

[Selphie's new to Pokemon battles but as long as Gold and Silver have fun doing it, then it's okay with her.

However, judging from the generally blank look on her face, she's actually quite confused about all of this. Someone be a dear and explain the rules, yeah?]

Maaaan, there's a battle here and I think there's a party or something in the other room. Busy day here, huh, Selphie-chan?

[Before things really kick off in the fight, that is, he says this blandly]

[Aang had caught wind of the event from Masaomi. He was still pretty uncomfortable with the idea of these creatures having to fight each other, but he was still interesting in seeing what they were like and if he could ride one later. So he took a seat and eagerly watched as the battle began.]

[And Katara had decided to tag along. Having fought Linda, she is somewhat aware of what they can do.

...but she cringes when the pokemon clash, wincing away.]

For the record, that purple monkey there - Aitaro - that's Linda's father.

Oiii. [A ninja approacheth!] You got dragged into this too, huh?

[Shiemi, while she'd love to socialize, is extremely intent on watching the match. She feels like she and her skarmory haven't advanced as far as they could have. Her eyebrows furrow, and her cheeks puff out as she tries to concentrate. Skarmy looks just as focused.]

[Linda on his shoulder is super focused. Most of the time he's sucked into it too but... Katara here or not, a buxom blonde can't be ignored. Mostly because Silver called him on it. Thus, probably after much of the conflict, Masaomi is going to sliiiiide up next to her to the glare of Rin across the room]

[This comes right after the explosion from Explotaro and Feraligatr's final techniques. It shakes even the second floor floor they are on now. Rin actually whimpers, glancing at Skarmy. That little thing is going to eventually be able to do crap like that?]

[Katara follows this battle with a mixture of a warrior's eye - assessing damage, skill, and my goodness, those things had an excessive amount of abilities - and cringing at the way the Pokemon clashed.

This was just so strange.]

I didn't know you could use those ice beams like that...

[It's a mutter very near on her left. Masaomi was meaning to go and speak with Katara, thank her for coming, resist flirting... but no. In the end he just ends up turning to watch the battle, smirking in spite of himself with some sort of great interest. It's not even all his own. On his shoulders, Linda is even more excited. She's about ready to try to leap through the glass if her trainer wasn't telling her to be calmer. And he's syncing up some with her wavelength.]

[Crys sheepishly laughs next to Katara when she sees her expression.]

First time seeing a Pokemon battle, I'm guessing?

[Silver had invited him to come watch.... and honestly, Freyjadour was curious himself. So he takes a seat with the others there, eager to see how this will go.

[yessssss. Finally, a Pokémon battle! It's been ages, and that kind of sucks.

Ingo will be watching carefully with a learned eye. He nods to himself at the evolution-- looks like they don't even know what Pokémon it is... but- geez louise, these trainers are awfully involved! Pretty impressive to see Silver pointedly go through that Surf headlong. That is not something you see in everyday gameverse. Color him impressed.

Chandelure is out of his Pokéball, surprisingly behaving himself. However, he will be just as content to watch the spectators themselves, so forgive him if he stares!]

[Oh huh, ice columns. Against a flier, that's a neat tactic, Gold.]

[He'd come along because Soren had wanted to see his hatcher in battle, and was definitely cheering for the obnoxious idiot. Chien didn't mind watching though, since it gave him a few ideas on how to train his flying fellow.

M-Maybe train him. He was just babysitting the thing, after all! It's not like he'd spend a long time with him.]

... For a duo of idiots who can get lost in a forest, they're pretty sharp in battle. [Chirp. Get 'em, you giant fire badger!] Silver's going to win, Soren, just watch.

[Rin came here with Shiemi. Shiemie invited him and he most likely tried to drag his brother too. But no, far from being awed or confused or curious... he is looking at this like it's a really cool sporting event. He even got some random stuff from the vending machines. ...And his tail is wagging.]

[ Dawn's initial alarm of being in a place she had not been when she went to sleep is totally washed away by OH WOW A POKEMON BATTLE feelings. never mind that she has no bloody clue what's going on or anything. this battle is clearly more important! she's still wearing her New Feather dress, even!

in a minute she'll remember why she was alarmed in the first place, but for now there's only Pokemon battles. ]
