Summary: It's a wintertime jamboree. Go ice skating. Hand out gifts to those you love. (Or want to prank, as the case may be.) Deal with meddling, creepy elves. Kiss a lot of people. It'll be good. Except for the parts where it'll be awkward. But that's what we're here for, isn't it?
Rating: Anywhere from PG to R, I imagine. If you need to play out sexytimes, please either fade to black and take it elsewhere or CLEARLY mark the thread in the subject line. (The former is preferable, but not strictly necessary.)

[He tried. It's fortunate for Firo that Maiza's so tactful.]

[He starts trotting back the way he came, too happy to notice that the elf is trailing behind.]

It shouldn't take too long--I've already got it wrapped and everything.

Did you now? I appreciate it, Firo.

[Maiza's elf makes the man pause for a second when it latches onto his pant leg, so he picks it up and sees if Firo's wants a ride, too. He'll catch up with his friend soon though.]

I've got yours as well.

No problem!

[Firo's elf is grateful for the ride and clings to Maiza. Firo slows down until Maiza catches up, too caught up in the talk of presents to complain about Maiza helping the elf. ...And maybe he would feel a bit bad about leaving it in the snow.]

Huh? But you didn't have to!

"Didn't have to"? Who're you kidding?

I got it because I wanted to.

Oh, well, then thanks!

[He smiles, then repeats himself.]

Thanks a lot, I can't wait to see what it is.

I just hope it's something that'll come to use for you.

[He reaches into his pocket to make sure it's still there, smiling when he finds the little box there.]

Hey, I'm sure it'll be great if you picked it out.

[Maiza is the one who got him his hat, after all. Other people might not consider it too useful, but Firo has that gift as proof that Maiza knows how to pick something good for him.]

Thanks for the boost of confidence. Now, should I give you yours first of do you wanna give me mine when we get to your place?

[He chuckles.]

Anytime.

Huh? Oh, um... Well, do you wanna get it and we can open 'em both at my place?

Let's go to your place then. I've got yours already.

You do? You're prepared, were you expectin' this?

[Or did the stupid elf tell Maiza's elf...]

It's a small place. I thought I might run into you, so I kept it on me.

[immamartillo]

[He laughs.]

That's true, I shoulda' done the same. I need to give Czes his present too sometime.

[contaeoro]

Czeslaw, huh? I wonder if he'll be back to the way he was before by Christmas.

[immamartillo]

[Firo frowns, then looks away. Czes's strange behavior is uncomfortable; despite the fights they have, he much prefers the normal Czes.]

...I dunno. The stuff they do to people can last weeks.

If it only lasts for weeks, it'll be better than it being permanent. He'll be lonely, since his old friend isn't here with him. He was quite attached to that guy, Lebreau...

[immamartillo]

Lebreau?

[Startled, Firo blinks, then furrows his brow in conversation.He's sure he hasn't heard it in his lifetime, but the name sounds very familiar nonetheless.]

Who's he? That name sounds familiar...

You might remember him. Well, you might know about him at least. He's the guy Czes was with when we were... on the ship.

[He frowns a little as he explains, thinking back on the pair he remembers. He remembers worrying when Czeslaw sounded like he was by himself in the letter, worrying more when Czeslaw cried that time when they met. He's sure Lebreau is no longer around... poor kid.]

[Szilard's personal memories are nearly useless when it comes to remembering people since he didn't much care for their names or faces, so Firo tries to go a different route. The memories are hazy and dim since Lebreau was eaten by an alchemist who was eaten by Szilard, but with some effort Firo traces through to them.

And then immediately stops himself. This Lebreau does not seem like a nice guy.]

...Maiza, are you sure he was with Czes?

[contaeoro]

[Firo's question confuses him. He sounds... wary?]

Since the day I met them. Czeslaw was always hiding behind him.

[immamartillo]

[He can't bring himself to look any deeper into the memories. He takes a deep breath as he tries to organize his thoughts. Czes wouldn't hang out with someone so bad, would he?]

...Maybe I'm thinkin' of a different guy.

[contaeoro]

If you think so. Why, is something worryin' you?

[immamartillo]

[He holds his hands up defensively.]

No, no! It's just--It's nothin'.

I think we're almost there. What were we talkin' about before?

You mentioned you got Czes a present. Whatcha get him?

[He smiles and tries to forget the anxieties of a few moments ago. Lebreau is nothing to worry about. He's gone.]

I got him Peter Pan. You know that book Claire and I liked when we were kids?
