Where: Out on the beach, centered around the teleporter/tunnel exit area. But it feels like July out there! Ain't that just the shit?

Long Ago In A Distant Land, Akai, the fully functional fonbot, unleashed a fairly standard mod post. But a foolish player kept asking questions and come on, do you really need to know that much? Now everyone wants to play out their ships and get into fruit shenanigans and undo to evil that is AKAI.

OH YEAH! So like, assume there is stands (or you know, beach-appropriate huts) here and there that are stocked up on bathing suits (and curtains you can change behind), stands with beverages, and snacks. Nobody's really operating them, new stuff just gets Shifted there (BUT ONLY IF YOU'RE NOT WATCHING). The Malnosso are the most considerate bro-ginization ever.

[Adele has always wanted to take the time to come to the beach since she's arrived in Luceti. The weather hasn't been fit for it, so she's done without but...it was warm. Something of a surprise, and it should strike her as odd, but for now she'll accept the gift as it's been given without much question. She's content to wander the shoreline, hands in her pockets as she weaves around the other villagers enjoying the unseasonable weather and lovely scenery.]

[Annnd Willock will be spotting her in due time, having showed up at the beach earlier, wondering what all the fuss was about. He's wearing slacks and a red polo shirt that most definitely was only fashionable in his era, as well as a straw hat to keep the sun out of his eyes. He hasn't touched the fruit, though he's starting to become curious about it.]

We're not at the clinic, Everett. You may call me Adele, yes? [She offers him a soft laugh, wisps of hair curling around her face, softening her along with the simple white sundress she wore enough that she seemed a little kinder, a little younger.]

Adele. Sorry--force of habit. This is some bizarre weather we're having, isn't it?

Think of it as a gift, Everett. It's wonderful all the same, we may as well enjoy it as long as it lasts.

[Once more decked out in his finest sunglasses/shorts/T-shirt/sandals combination from the pool party, Obi-Wan finds himself idly strolling down the beach, simply basking a bit in the warmth of the unseasonable weather and the positive emotions filling the air around him.

And there was Adele, heading straight toward him. Oh, dear.

He turns and heads the other way, hoping she hasn't seen him. He does not want to spoil her mood, nor, truth be told, his own, by upsetting her again.]

[Without the robes it takes a moment for Adele to recognize Obi-Wan, but when she does she lifts a hand to wave. His abrupt turn makes her falter and hesitate. Has Luke not passed along her apology? She's still a moment longer before she starts after him, not quite jogging, but close.]

Ben! Ben- wait, please!

[He stops and waits patiently for her to catch up, though he does not turn around.]

[As soon as she's at his side she hesitates once more, before ducking her head, smoothing a hand back through her hair and sighing.]

Ben I'm sorry. For what I said, it was unkind, it was crass, and you deserved none of it. I didn't want it to be true, and treated you unfairly. I'm sorry.

[The unseasonably warm weather for the generally temperate climate also drew Lupin out to the beach, a little tired but very relaxed for the first time in weeks. Two people he trusted had been returned to him from their stay with the Malnosso--that, itself, was reason to let worries slide. Though the weather is warm, he hasn't changed out from his usual attire for the day. Instead, he wanders the shore barefoot, the sleeves of his dark blue shirt rolled up to his elbows. The jacket and shoes are waiting for him back on the beach, hidden away from prying eyes and well above the waterline.

He's been unaffected by the weird Shift happening this week, although he did have a rousing time with Fujiko on Valentine's day that ended with the two of them naked and under the covers on her bed. He thinks he got lucky...but the various chemical interactions means that his memories are fuzzy, and he's uncertain. He's savvy enough to avoid the fruit at all costs however, and is comfortably clear-headed.

Though in a good mood, however, he moves to avoid Adele when he spots her also walking along the water's edge. His injuries still smart and, though he has been taking it (moderately) easy, he knows very well that the Doctor will be more than happy to direct him back away.

Sorry. He's in too peaceful a mood to deal with that.]

[Adele's in better spirits by the time Lupin takes steps to avoid her. The discussion with Jack, with Willock, had alerted her to the oddness in the fruit that she now made certain to avoid, and had eased her anxieties. No matter how terrible things felt when this was over, she'll survive it. She's survived it once before with a man she'd loved with all she was for more than a decade. However long it had really been with Tony? She'll survive.

She wasn't even irritated when she noticed Lupin wandering along the shore. He was just walking, odds are he'd taken his medication, and she couldn't keep a man like him cooped up. It was impossible, they both knew it. So she's not upset, or stalking, when she weaves her way over to the thief with an obligatory sigh.]

You haven't been overly active, have you Lupin? [More a polite question than an accusation, she reaches out to tug his earlobe as she asks before dropping her hands back to her side and falling into step with him.]

Odds were better that he hadn't taken his medication, especially after Fujiko nearly poisoned him with her wiles and her skills with chemistry and sleight-of-hand. He tilts his head as she tugs his ear, frowning in a way that suggested he was playing more than actually irritated.]

Would you stop doing that? Not even the nuns at St. Mary's did that! It's embarrassing~

And...my girlfriend is back in town. Take a few guesses.

If you wanted to avoid it, you would. Even with your ribs. [Adele snorts and shakes her head, sighing.]

As long as she is doing most of the work and you don't take your medication with alcohol, you should be fine, though it will take longer for your ribs to heal.

[Along that shoreline, Adele may find one Cajun half asleep, stretched out on the sand. The warmth is so very welcome, but bright sun has never been easy on his eyes, so this doze is due to both those factors. Still, when she starts to get closer, one eye will crack open a bit and he'll give her a grin in greeting.]

[Adele breaks into a smile at Remy lounged on the sand, more than convinced he has the right idea. Once she's close enough she walks around to where she'll be blocking the most of the sun and sits next to him, knees drawn up to her chest.]

It's beautiful. Not quite Normandy but it's better than I'd hoped.

[Adele, you are a beautiful woman and he is eternally grateful that you are blocking the worst of the sun. He opens both eyes now, still squinting, but at least able to keep them open without pain.]

Non, not quite that nice. But I'll take the warm over that mess of snow anyday.

I've wanted to come out here since I heard there was a beach, but the weather...[She shrugs.] I'm glad to have this opportunity, for however long it'll last.

[ Adele! Have your housemate traversing the beach with a fruit in hand. He'll come over when he sees you there waving with a smile. ] It's a beautiful day isn't it? So much more different than at the village, it's quite fascinating how they do that.

[Adele's distracted by the horizon, the light glinting off the waves, so she doesn't immediately notice Helios. When she hears his voice, however, she turns and offers him a small smile. Helios was happy, contented. Enjoying this, whatever it was. She had no place to question it.] It reminds me of home, a little. This beach lacks the cliffs, but it is lovely all the same.

There's the Danube River and Red Lake to visit...but beaches are hard to come by in Romania. I've visited many a place with them though. Italy, England, France as well each one has their own uniqueness about them. This is rather nice though, very calm very soothing it's something that's more than welcome in this place.

Every shore has a beach, and every beach it's own sound, it's own rhythm. A heartbeat for the rest of the land beyond.

...Something my father told me when I was younger. [She lifts a shoulder and quirks a brow at the fruit in his hands.] Something peaceful is more than welcome. Especially since I think tomorrow will be more than a little disconcerting.

[At some point, Adele might spot Robert off by himself, near a tidal pool. Unlike most of the villagers, he's aware this is a Shift, and is simply studying the effects of the very sudden temperature gradient on the tidal pool life now that he's more or less finished with his inspection of the fruit.

He... might be more amenable to eating some now, since he's determined it's safe, but mostly he's just being his usual scientific self.]

pssh, no you're not.

Robert? [Adele wanders over, pausing by the pool, not too far from him. This was...this had been hard on him. No matter the name, or resemblance to the man that who had wronged her, he'd deserved none of the misery this Shift had caused. She finds a clear space and settles next to him, dipping her bare feet in the pool.]

...Have thins improved with your partner?

[Robert uses the sea star he's studying as an excuse to look down rather than at Adele.] ... I... suppose. ... H-He and I had... a discussion... or, well, somewhat of one...

... I th-thought he would... come down to the beach today, but... h-he did not wish to risk it...

[She watches the currants swirl around her feet, blinking a little at the memory of something similar happening when she was young. All she needed was a little blood in the water. Adele shook it off to turn her head and look at Robert properly.]
