Summary: It's a wintertime jamboree. Go ice skating. Hand out gifts to those you love. (Or want to prank, as the case may be.) Deal with meddling, creepy elves. Kiss a lot of people. It'll be good. Except for the parts where it'll be awkward. But that's what we're here for, isn't it?
Rating: Anywhere from PG to R, I imagine. If you need to play out sexytimes, please either fade to black and take it elsewhere or CLEARLY mark the thread in the subject line. (The former is preferable, but not strictly necessary.)

[All throughout the week, Firo will be cementing his place on the naughty list. For the first day or so, he'll simply try to lose the elf by shoving it in a box or trying to duck away as soon as he's out of its sight. When that doesn't work so well, he'll take a direct approach. Be careful not to get hit by an elf that Firo picks up and sends flying as far as he can throw it.

But he's not a complete scrooge! His friends and housemates (and housemates of friends) can expect presents delivered on the two days before Christmas.

On the 24th, Firo's walking through the town center when he feels the sudden need to stop. Well, the snow is looking awfully nice and he has no pressing need to go anywhere, so why not hang around? He can be found watching the snow fall, blissfully unaware of the mistletoe overhead.]

[That ain't how you treat those elves, Firo, no matter how creepy it may be.

Maiza is confused for a moment why Firo is throwing a green baseball at his face of all things, but when he catches it and realizes what it is, he's even more confused. Is this some kind of new game? A request, maybe? Or is it one of those moments where things don't make sense to Firo and Firo decides to make it gtfo?

Probably the last.]

... Watch where you're throwing stuff, Firo.

[Definitely the last one.]

Ah, Maiza-!

[It's too late to tell him to look out, but fortunately the throw wasn't so strong that Maiza couldn't catch it. That doesn't make Firo feel any better. He races over to Maiza and skids to a stop, anger replaced by distress.]

I-I'm so sorry! I didn't see you there!

[Meanwhile, the elf is trying to stay as close to Maiza as possible.]

[He looks from the elf in his hand to Firo, then reaches into his pocket for the elf that's been following him around for the past days. He'll let them both on the snow to frolick or something. Hopefully elves get along with their own kind.]

I'm all right. It's a bit early for the baseball season though, isn't it?

[Firo just stares for a moment. He can't be the only one wanting to toss his elf headfirst into a snowdrift! ...Though if there's anyone who'd be patient enough to deal with them, it would be Maiza. Firo feels no sympathy for the elf, but now that Maiza's here he does feel a bit guilty.

He'd still throw the darn thing again if Maiza weren't around.]

Er, yeah, it is. I was just, um... trying to get rid a' that thing.

[The elf gets along fine with its sibling, and seems somewhat relieved to have been rescued.]

They're stubborn fellows. I tried leaving mine home the other day and it kept showing up, as well. [He just gave up and put it in his pocket after that.] They're fairly harmless if not a bit unnerving at first.

[He looks at the elves in the snow, watching them for a second before turning to Firo again.] Has it been asking you to do things too?

[immamartillo]

[Pouting at his elf, Firo nods. He wouldn't consider them harmless considering the damage their demands do to his ego, but they definitely are unnerving.]

Yeah, it has. Stupid stuff like singin' to strangers and all that.

[He folds his arms as he looks away from the elf to Maiza.]

Has yours been doin' the same thing?

[If so he'll gladly step on it for you.]

Ice skating and baking things, or fixing up the decorations around our house. I followed through on those. [Pretty harmless so far. Of course it asked him to sing a carol and dress up as Santa as well, but he decided to ignore those.]

[immamartillo]

...You did?

[A respected capo following the demands of an elf? While Firo's sure Maiza didn't do it out of any sort of weakness, he still finds it a strange thing to picture. ...Though somewhat less strange considering who said capo is.]

But why? Nothin' bad happens if you don't.

[You sound so surprised, Firo.]

Well I took Czes along to skating, and it never hurts to have extra food around the house. The lights needed fixing anyways.

[He never thought that the elves' demands could be construed as being useful, but he wasn't really trying to be anything but annoyed.]

...So it didn't bother you? At all? It's none a' their business to go around askin' people to do stuff--they should get it done themselves.

I declined some of the things. I might've ended up doing those anyway, so sometimes it's best to take these in good humor, y'know?

[Besides, he's pretty sure the elves didn't necessary need any of these things done.]

Good humor..?

...I guess. It's just hard when they're so annoyin' about it.

[He glares a his elf.]

I don't get why they're hangin' around anyway. Aren't most of us to old to believe in Christmas elves?

[tomodachi]

[Well we shoved our elf into a trash can so we have no right to judge for that. But he hasn't really paid very much attention to any mistletoe problems other people have had, and he manages to stand just outside the range of any stray mistletoe when he notices Firo just standing there for some reason.]

What are you doing?

[immamartillo]

[Startled, Firo glances away from the snow to see Crow.]

Huh? Oh, hey.

[He shrugs, trying not to get too defensive. It's easier than it normally is; he's not the biggest fan of Christmas, but visiting friends and giving them gifts has out him in a better mood than normal.]

Just thought I'd stop and watch everything. What're you doin' out here?

[tomodachi]

[What's that? Did you ask us something, because he seems to ignore that question in favor of asking his own again.]

What exactly are you watching? [The snow falling, people walking around, all of the above...?]

[immamartillo]

[Since it was mostly the mistletoe's influence that prompted him to stop, it takes Firo a moment to respond.]

What? Oh... Well, the snow and all the people movin' around, I guess. It looks kinda--

[At the last moment he shuts his mouth. He's not going to tell someone like Crow that he thinks it looks nice; the kid would probably tease him for being sappy.]

...It's interestin'. Don't you think so?

[tomodachi]

[For a second there it sounded like you were about to say something else. Crow looks out in the direction of where you were looking at, watching a couple of people walk by as well as some snow falling...

...and then he just shrugs.]

I guess, but there are way better views to watch stuff like this than where you're standing.

[immamartillo]

Like where? There's nothin' wrong with bein' right here.

[If Firo'd just look up, he'd realize there's a lot wrong with this spot.]

...You don't mean the roof, do you? You'll slip in this weather.

[He's intrigued enough by the thought to finally step away from the mistletoe, but at the same time he has to pretend to be responsible.]

[tomodachi]

[Firo, being responsible is for dorks.]

No I wouldn't--a little ice isn't gonna stop me from being on the roof if I feel like it.

[immamartillo]

[You're looking at the biggest dork in the world.]

Don't be stupid, accidents can always happen.

[He would like to see the town from the roofs, but he knows that such a thing couldn't end well. It never does.

The question is how to convince Crow, and Firo can only think of one thing that might work.]

What would Seto do if you fell?

[tomodachi]

[...Wow, playing the Seto card now? We are totally not gonna cave that easily......]

He'd probably cry about it--but then I'd just tell him that I'm fine and then everything would be alright, like always. [It wouldn't be the first time we took a nasty fall and scared the hell out of Seto...]

[immamartillo]

[Firo's plan backfires. He'd hoped that bringing up their mutual friend would make Crow back down easily, but he finds himself getting angry at Crow's response.]

So you're fine with makin' him cry?

[tomodachi]

[irk]

Of course not. That's why I'd even bother with being extra careful to not fall off so that he wouldn't get upset about it. [gosh why do you have this assumption that we would be that klutzy to just go fall off roofs for kicks...]

[immamartillo]

It doesn't matter how careful you are.

[He folds his arms over his chest and sighs.]

I'll come with you to keep an eye on you and make sure you don't get hurt. Since, you know, I'd rather not have Seto gettin' sad.

[That's a lie, he wants to see the pretty town from above.]
