Starting at midnight on the 26th, Luceti and its inhabitants will find itself the focus of the Filial spirits, usually quiet and reclusive, now stepping out to deal with one of their own.

As promised, here is some additional information to help figure out how to play around with the spirits and interacting with similarly possessed people.

First off, each spirit has a certain time or place when they are at their most powerful. Consequently, characters possessed by them will enjoy these boosts and this in itself can be a deciding factor in what would otherwise be a stalemate. Here’s a quick run down:

Sona - She’s most powerful around lakes, rivers, and the ocean. Mostly this is concentrated at the southern lake.

Kipinn - He’s most powerful in high places, like mountain tops and the roofs of community buildings.

Faeren - She’s most powerful in the farmlands alongside things that grow.

Tsinku - He’s most powerful in the village itself, where technology thrives.

Eferin - He’s most powerful in the center of the forest where his heat may cause trees to burn. In fact, the upcoming forest fire may cause some trouble if his followers get too rowdy.

Hyt - It’s most powerful during the daytime under a bright sky.

Twila - It’s most powerful during the night time.

Nala- She has no domain and is generally welcome wherever she goes.

How possessed characters will deal with other possessed characters will depend on the interactions of the spirits themselves. A useful spreadsheet sums up these relationships. Those that have a friendly attitude to one another will generally allow ‘trespassers’ into their domain, but those they are not so friendly with may cause conflict.

Finally, to elaborate on Twila-possessed characters. Those with a natural affinity for darkness are likely to be possessed first. Once they have, they can try to recruit others less-compatible candidates to ‘join the cause’. Their goal is numbers. The more who are working with Twila, the better. Once they do, they’ll be inclined to act in their own self interest and if necessary, deal with others who try to get in their way. In the long term, the spirit Twila wants to stay this way, bonded to the Lucetians as hybrids, that way it cannot be imprisoned again. Think of it as pure survival instinct of an animal that’s spent way too long in a cage.

All isn’t lost. The other spirits may not be able to cage it again, but they won’t accept Twila reacting in this manner. Though it’s hard to tell what their beef with Twila is, they have an instinctive familiarity with the dark spirit and seem to act as its jail keepers.

They have the power to free people from Twila, but given their poor communication skills, figuring that out might just be a challenge. After all, the spirits can only communicate in shades of feeling and intentions, but not actually verbalize directions or marching orders. However, there will be a Malnosso post mid-event that will give everyone, possessed or otherwise, the info they need to turn things around.

Either way, he can be found around town, often just sitting and staring at something (or nothing) off in the distance. He's distracted, indifferent, and generally creepy to come upon.

If you're particularly unlucky, he might be staring at you, especially if Twila is currently your possessor.]

28th

[ Well then stare away. Between the two nearly identical pairs of black wings and the wisps of dark energy she gives off with every movement, it's not hard to guess who Saten is being possessed by.

Once she notices Isamu, she pauses for several seconds, watching him to see if he'll do anything. When he doesn't, she takes matters into her own hands and walks over, stopping when she's still a reasonable distance from him. ]

[Being freed from Twila's possession is a good thing, really. Richard is quite happy about it, and even happier to be sharing his body with Kipinn now because this spirit is just so much FUN. Too bad Isamu ISN'T being much fun at the moment.

Richard will have to fix this by swooping down (once he figured out that he could fly with these wings, it's been difficult keeping him on the ground) and snatching Isamu's hat right off his head, then alighting atop the fountain to settle it onto his own head.

[Now that Richard was better, Asbel felt better as well. He could rest easy knowing his friend was no longer plagued and held back from the darkness, and that he could take it easy.

So he takes the time to enjoy these newfound powers, soaring in the skies above the village like so many others have taken to. That's when he spots Isamu in the village, squatting by the bridge and... staring into space? That seems unusual, even for Isamu, so Asbel decides to check this, landing in front of the man's gaze.]

[Zuko isn't in the house. He's in the woods, which really isn't much better, but he has less of an attachment to that should he lose it and decide to burn something to the ground. He's already promised not to burn the house, so this is for the best.

He'd gotten better with that temper of his, but this spirit is just pushing things. He needs fresh air and a place to work out and work off steam without causing property damage.

So that's what he'll be doing - fire-less firebending routines, topless in the middle of the woods. Should you wish to bother him, there will never really be a good time, but feel free to do it anyway. Everyone usually does.]

Day 3

[Even with Zuko spending so much time away from the house, Aang can't help but seek him out every few hours. He just feels so much more respect for Zuko suddenly - even more than usual! So, probably not for the first time since the event starts, Aang swoops down towards the clearing that Zuko's training in.]

27th

[Bulla hasn't figured out why her wings have grown or why she's suddenly got fire powers, but if the Malnosso could turn her father into a woman for a week, this is less weird by comparison.

After ruining an outfit and after her father accidentally set part of their house on fire, it's clear to Bulla that some help will be needed if they don't want to have any more unfortunate accidents. Who better to go to for help than a firebender?

Fortunately, she's drawn to the forest, and that's where she finds Zuko. She waits until he's done one form before speaking up.]

Hey Zuko! Just the guy I wanted to see.

27th onward - Nala

[It's a while after this that Hal can be found out in the open again. He seems a bit dazed, the unexpected response from one of the spirits to the mental pleas of his better half was unexpected, and he's just not used to feeling this... giving. Even on his best days.

Eventually, he makes his way to the fountain and just sits on the edge of it, watching others go by and seeing if anyone needs his help. Ironically, he's the one who looks like he could use a helping hand.

He won't be flying, however. As tempting as it is, it just seems too unnatural, even for him.]

[Billy isn't exactly known for his healing - it's still an imperfect magic of his - and Twila isn't exactly boosting his charitable instincts, but he still feels the urge to help out wherever he can, especially with the whole "I'm acting kind of evil" guilt cropping up between shadow-puppet-playtime. So when he passes by the guy looking kind of down on his luck at the fountain, he pauses.]

[Kushina had woken up that morning wondering why it was so difficult getting through doors and was greeted to the surprising sight of her wings nearly doubled in size and now a green instead of their bright yellow. The only thing that passed her lips (since she just woke up) was a small 'oh.'

The rest of the morning was dedicated to testing if she could actually fly.

Once she's got her fill of viewing the village high enough that most people looked like ants, and probably running into a few people on her way up, she settles on the rooftop of her home like she usually does. To people that pass by, she'll probably wave and try and strike up conversation.

Unless you're Twila. For some reason she'll scowl and maybe throw a pebble or two at your head when you're not looking or a blast of air that will knock you over.]

[ Luceti, are you ready for shiny rainbow wings?

When this whole business is done, Joshua is going to regret not showing these off when he had the chance. Not entirely unexpectedly, his super-sized wings carry the same rainbow pattern as his smaller wings did, but now there's an extra shine to them to make things even better.

As for Joshua himself, he leaves his house each morning to go pick up groceries. But inevitably, before reaching the store, he slows to a stop. Sometimes he's distracted by someone, and follows them quietly for a while before snapping out of it. Sometimes he just stops and stands there, as if in a daze, before eventually snapping out of that. Anyone possessed by Twila may be stared at, but he won't actively follow them.

This continues throughout the whole day, but as the sun sets, the pressing urge to get back to his house drives him back inside... only to realize, yet again, he failed to pick up anything to eat today. Thus he repeats the process once more the next day.

It's a good thing he doesn't actually need to eat much. ]

[Hisoka catches sight of Joshua while he's trailing someone else. And though he'd normally make a rude remark and carry on his way, something tingles in the base of his bright yellow wings that demands deference to Joshua's whims. He'll spend an afternoon keeping watch over him from a respectable distance.

Only at night does he approach, politely knocking on the front door and bowing low at the waist in greeting.]

Mr. Joshua, may I please have a moment of your time?

All Days - Twila

[He'd known that something was wrong, a familiar prickle down the back of his neck, a brush of power that should have given him plenty of warning. He should have put up more wards, should have been more careful and cautious, but he'd got so used to spirits and ghosts being the least of his concerns that it was easy to let it slip for just one day.

He knows when he wakes up that there's something in him, something not him and damn, it terrifies him. Possession has never been a fun thing, a pleasant thing and god, the whispering is so hard to tune out. And it's dangerous. He knows that. This whole place is dangerous now, spirits everywhere, out of the corner of his eye, the huge wings testament to that.

There is, of course, only one thing to do. He has to protect them. His people, the ember of protectiveness that he feels stoked to a blaze. He won't let any hard come to them, from himself or others, he'll get rid of the spirits once he finds a way. Can't be too different from an exorcism, right? And then they will all be safe.

He spends a lot of time hovering nearby his house, keeping an eye on things while he works, although anyone trying to get inside is in for a very nasty surprise. He's not all that interested in persuading anyone to accept Twila either, still wary enough of the possession to be mistrustfuyl of the more obvious ploys, although it won't stop him being wary, even unfriendly towards anyone possessed by the other spirits.]]

Some evening later in the week

Helios by now registers that he's possessed by something and it makes him ill to know that it's a spirit of all things. Being possessed by something before has already left enough of a scar on him as is, this was the last thing he needed. His thoughts are muddled and entirely too focused on the sigil he's practicing drawing in the ground. It helps keep the her voice at bay and he's trying so hard to ignore the whispering, but even Helios lapses into a trance like state and it's only a matter of time before he looks down at the sigil drawn in the ground and gasps. A hand will go over his mouth quickly to blot out at other sound of surprise and he looks with a worried air at the sigil he drew once again. It's to summon dark creatures with blood magic and shadowed forms to possess lower minded creatures like cats, dogs, and those sorts of things. He keeps drawing it no matter how much he tries not too and he'll worry his lip as he scuffs the dirt with his shoe.

He might turn around just then to face Max, Max whom he hasn't seen around as much lately and it deeply concerned for him despite his desire to use this to his advantage.

"Max. I. I didn't see you there." He notes the wings and an urge to move closer to get a better look makes him take a step towards the man he loves and cares about. Exorcisms can get rid of possessing spirits. But would this work on these ones? Those black wings behind Helios' back stretch and then refold themselves close to his back again. They're much more difficult to maneuver now that they're grown and Helios finds himself lacking in balance just a bit more than usual with the added weight to his back.

[Unfortunately, it seemed like her typically strong will had failed her. While she was getting better at distracting herself and a certain conversation here and there had certainly helped, she was still bothered by a persistent feeling of ennui. Those sorts of feelings didn't help stave off the danger of possession, to put it nicely. Sure, she valued her independence like nothing else, but in a lot of ways Eferin represented the traits that she felt she had lost her grip on, even though that wasn't as close to the truth as she thought it was.

So really, it was no surprise that Jane ended up falling under Eferin's influence soon after Twila descended upon Luceti. That influence bolstered her already aggressive and energetic nature a few times over, and with the power of fire magic and flight at her disposal...well, she was going to be a handful. Even more of a handful than usual, actually.

Hopefully no one would panic after seeing what looked a large fireball flying over the forest. Failing that, she had to tire out eventually, right?]

[Whoa that was a huge fireball. From where Crow had been flying a moment ago, he just manages to avoid getting hit by it, and now he's trying to look for the source of where it came from.

...Hey, is that the Jane girl we met once before? Hello Jane, have a (Kipinn-possessed) Crow that's now suddenly very interested in talking to you.]

Were you the one who launched that fireball? You are, right?

Any time (Nala)

Chouji doesn't do too much out of the ordinary at first. You can find him at home in CH1 or at Seventh Heaven, cooking, eating, and willing to socialize. As time goes by, though, he begins to feel there's something he ought to be doing. Chouji starts checking in on his friends around the village, his concern for them elevated. He looks for people in need of help.

Figuring that the forest might be the right place to look for other Konoha shinobi, he leaps from tree to tree there, flying through the occasional clearing rather than touching down on the ground or skirting its edge.

After healing people or animals, his energy starts to wane. Obviously, this means he needs something to eat. It couldn't possibly be anything more serious than that. So Chouji will have something good to eat, and when that doesn't help, he'll have a bit more to eat. He has to keep his energy up so he can keep healing people.

Day 3 or so? IDK

Prim isn't entirely clear on the spirits - who they are, what they are - but she's figured out by now what it is inside of her. Or at least...she recognizes that there's someone else there. Someone warm, someone caring. Someone she almost recognizes. It's easy to coexist with Nala, whose purposes almost entirely align with Prim's own, although the spirit's reactions to people occasionally steer her a little out of her way.

Prim infused with Nala, for example, smiles immediately upon seeing Chouji at Seventh Heaven. She's never met the ninja before, but the part of her that has Nala says ally deep inside, and it feels easy to go over to him. "Do you mind if I join you?" That's still a bit shy, all the same.

All days (Eferin)

[The influence is, at first, subtle. Before Clove has even let herself think about what it might be, she's accepted it. Why not? It's something. It's more certainty than she's felt in a long time. Her will? No, she knows it's not. But when has she ever been able to actually have control over her life? If this sense has some idea of what she can do and what she can be? She'll follow it.

It's probably good the fire spirit got a hold first.

She spends the first half day in her apartment. The changing of the wings is just too weird to go out, but after that? She can't really sit still. She has to be doing something.

By the 27th, she's learned she can summon fire. What does that mean? Lots of time in the battledome, working on these powers. Definitely a muttation. She even looks like one. More so than they usually do in this place, at least. She can be found at the 'dome almost any day for the duration of the event.

By the 30th, though, she's figured something else out, too. She can actually fly. It's done in as much privacy as she can find, trying to learn. She's wary, doesn't try to go too high, even once she thinks she has it down. But every attempt makes her just a little bolder.

She avoids her usual haunt of the forest. She remembers the fire in the arena too well, doesn't want a repeat of something that definitely tried to kill her once before.]

[Finally, a reason to actually be at the dome other than just loitering--Crow's already figured out that he can fly, but it's only recently that he discovers that he can apparently do other things with the wind. At first he had just been blowing some stuff around, but after nearly taking out a few windows, it was more-or-less "suggested" that he go somewhere else...well, why not the dome, that's where people who like this sort of thing usually hang out, right?

He hasn't really spoken that much with Clove since the draft, but once he spots her hanging around the dome, he suddenly feels rather compelled to go speak with her.]

Any Day - Nala

Jack may have developed large wings, but he'd flown before. Certainly he was willing to take flight again, but it hardly matched the ability to fly he had as Jack Frost, a god who needed no wings to get around. Still, it was convenient. Beyond that, Jack was making good on a bet with Buffy to be on his best behavior and he was finding it remarkably easy lately. In fact, at times, he felt as though he genuinely wanted to help people and wasn't just out to prove Buffy wrong.

But it was most likely he just wanted to make Buffy wrong.

All the same, Jack does his shifts at the bar as a remarkably friendly bartender who is willing to share a friendly ear to people's ridiculous problems. When he's not bartending, he finds himself keeping a keen eye for anyone in distress or just injured because, well, he's immortal. He has as much life as a person can hope to give. It's the new, gentler Jack Horner. And he's perfect.

He's even more of a prick than before.

...She watched him from across the bar, a glass propped up in one hand as she furiously swabbed it out with a damp cloth. Look at him, she thought, swanning around with his big old stupid wings. Lately, it felt like so many of the people in her life just...couldn't settle on being who they were supposed to be. In fact, it was entirely possible that she was even more annoyed by Jack Horner in his current state.

It caused her to be over critical: "Next time," she called across an emptying bar as the last few patrons took their leave, "you should try actually serving drinks instead of just talking over them."

An unfair requestion, for sure, from a woman who just last week demanded that he be nicer. But Buffy and mixed signals got along like salt and caramel.

[You know it's going to be one of those days in Luceti when you wake up to have huge wings on your back. Ones that weren't that big when you went to sleep. As the first day wears on, Maron will be trying to fly with the wings, successfully flying, and of course, trying out tricks. Why not?

But as the days wear on, Tsinku's influence drives her to do more than just a few loops in the air: experimenting with the ability to call down lightning to become nothing more than a spark in her palm (which is pretty boss) to practicing her ability to jump around as if she were in the guise of Jeanne on a different day: think jumping off of rooftops to catch a tree branch, to using the power of electricity to propel her on to one of the community housing roofs. That electrical power doesn't always want to work with her however, and she might just go crashing down to the ground... or on to someone else.

Nearing some of the last days, Maron will have most of everything down. It's a shame it'll go away at some point, but the last few days she'll be hanging around the village square... occasionally charging some things around the village with some electricity. Let's hope it's not too much.]

Clove waits a moment, watching the girl practice for a few moments. Then, finally, she speaks up.]

So that's what it is. The different colors are different powers. Very nice.

Any day (Faeren)

[So Fenimore kind of flips out at first when she suddenly has huge wings. Huge wings that, instead of a nice shade of orange, are now kind of a dirt brown. Ugh. But then she finds out that everyone's wings were growing huge, so she starts to just flip out inwardly.

She's sure this is something to worry about. Things like this never are this easy. But, well...it's probably best not to get involved. No need to draw attention to herself. Someone else can deal with it.

That's probably the reason she's feeling so off-kilter and nervous these days. She can still bring herself to be firm and direct if she really has to -- it's kind of unavoidable at least when it comes to dealing with Sophie -- but otherwise it's just easier to stay quiet and in the background where she can.

Still, even if she is...well, maybe not avoiding people, but rather just not seeking them out, she's finding a bit more of an interest in the plant life. Any time she passes by a garden when out on a walk, she finds it difficult to not linger and look over every flower. Even some of the weeds by the side of the road are catching her interest unexpectedly. And Flonne's Flower Shop of Love, which she hasn't really visited much in the three years she's been here, is getting a few visits as well when she's in the neighbourhood.

She's fond enough of nature as it is that she doesn't think about it too much, but unhealthy plants in particular just seem to strike her as...really sad. Even if she can sometimes bring herself to just keep going despite the sudden interest in other plants, the unhealthy ones she feels the need to cup her hands around and, from time to time, murmur to quietly things like "oh, you poor thing." Having a very low affinity for magic and spirits in general, she's not aware that she's using Faeren's magic to help them recover as she cups them.

And then on the 30th, she borrows Grune's gardening equipment (...possibly with permission, or possibly just taken when Grune is out flying) and heads out to the Memory Garden to do some work on it and water the flowers. She knows there are people who do look after it, but...well, it seemed like it would be a nice way to spend an afternoon.

Also, her giant pet bird, who normally has partially brown wings anyway, is pretty interested in this development, but Fenimore generally just shoos him away any time he tries to investigate the wings too closely.]

Day 30

[ Ikki isn't actually drawn to Fenimore by the new wings.

No, instead she hones in on the older girl when she spots the giant pet bird. That's enough to make Ikki veer off in that direction, her own giant pet bird in tow. ]

Hey! Is that a pokemon? [ It could be, after all. Ikki's pretty sure she's spoken to Fenimore at least once, although it was a while ago. ]

{Those new wings? On the first day? FABULOUS with her regular clothes. They were already speckled with blue here and there, but now? Perfection.

Those new powers that came with it though? Even better! Even though Cloche's base power was fire, her official title WAS "Maiden of Mio" and all this water was wonderful. Except that the more she used the powers, the more... haughty and a little more cold in her reactions to people.

Not that she wasn't already. Cloche still had that moment of Princess every so often. Now it was just more often.

Once the day ticks over to the next, Cloche will be found more and more often near the lakes; finding the southern lake the most hospitable to what she wanted.

Around the third day, and going on to the end pretty much, Cloche will use her new-found powers to splash people in the face, if she feels they are unwanted or if they're a rival? Be prepared for some fire hydrant water pressure shot at them to push them back.]

Some day over the rainbow

[Shiemi is, well, being a recluse. Rin isn't sure how to handle it or the rest of the insanity in the village - particularly given his wings are still small so he's apparently not a part of this. He'll just... figure it out in time. And part of his figuring it out, right now, is cleaning out the pool. Residue from leavers, other stuff like that. Getting it ready to fill up for the summer]

[When Elie wakes up on the first day, she's finding herself in kind of a predicament: she's flying. She's not controlling herself. And she's hovering around her room. A few times, she may or may not be falling on her roommates (there's a few moments of HA HA GOTCHA! and she's yanked back up) but for the most part, she's... quite literally everywhere. Once she's out of the house, Elie will be attempting to land and failing.

Not until later. Like the evening of the first day. But once that day fully passes, she's going to be playful. A lot more playful than she usually is, and she's normally pretty playful. Updrafts to make people have Marilyn Monroe moments? Yep. Blowing away a hat to have it circle around and use the owner's face as a landing pad? You betcha.

But it's on the third day that she's most active: dancing in the village square. She's quite good at it, but wearing... some really skimpy clothing. She'll be using her abilities of flight to enhance her dance moves, and use the wind to flutter hair, caress cheeks, and flutter clothing as well.

Once it's been a few days however, Elie will be along the treetops, kicking up wind and using the wind to play tricks on people (oh where's that wind coming from WHOOPS I GOT YOUR NOSE DON'T I?? and all,) swooping down to give a quick in-your-face hello (usually after a trick) and then she's off again. That will be her remaining days.]

Day 3?!

[Jade's been avoiding this girl in particular ever since the Dream Shift incident. Today would have been business as usual - she was doing some bizarre dance in the middle of town. But he couldn't help but be amused. And he cracked a slight smile as he walked nearby, his Eferin wings not in use at the moment.]

My. Someone seems to be enjoying themselves.

[ Primrose is possessed by arguably the mildest and most friendly spirit: Nala, whom isn't on explicitly bad terms with anyone. While her wings grow, they don't change color, already having been white. And while she feels the effects of the spirit, it doesn't change her overmuch; Prim has always been willing to help those who need help.

Now it's just a compulsion even further, with strange healing abilities to back it up.

She can be found all around Luceti: at the house she shares with Katniss, Richard, and Effie; at the library; at the school; walking in town...And if she sees anyone hurt, she'll offer her services.

Notably she can be caught on the 28th which is her birthday, although the party she didn't realize is being planned is delayed due to possessed persons. ]

[Teddy had been in the library on one particular day, ignoring the urge to fly, even as his wings twitched with longing. This is important, after all. But no matter how much he searches, how much he pays attention to the spines, he doesn't find anything on Twila. A few books on spirits, but those were mostly about the lesser magic, not full possession.

He's about to give up when he feels a familiar tug, the one of another person influenced by Nala, and he turns to smile, the expression growing more pleasant once he really sees who it is. Prim, huh? He gives a wave, turning from the shelf he's giving up on to give her his attention.]

[Minato will be out and about the entire days he'll be possessed by the spirit, Tsinku. Of course, not without an aim. First, he'll attempt on low flight. He still doesn't know how these now huge wings operate so the best thing to do is to gauge just how it would help him, or if they can help him at all.

Once flying, he'll try and contact his fellow Konoha shinobi, especially his wife and son, and try to know what happened to them, if they're safe etc.

He'll also try and figure out what's happening to the ones who have seemed to change a little. If this is an experiment where the Malnosso tampers with people's memories, he'd rather be on his toes. Although, he had noticed not many have actually changed, at least noticeable change in behavior.

Minato, too, won't have much specific change, though he'd be increasingly faster without the help of his hiraishin and wielding what looks like Kakashi's Raikiri. At first, he'd be perplexed by this, but it's something he can at least control.

FIRST DAY

[Around the first day, Kushina is attempting flight and isn't very good at it at initially. In the middle of attempting to steer, she she flies towards him in an attempt to surprise him with her newfound ability.

But she's clumsy, and fresh into the joys of flying, so she's tipping this way and that and unable to really stop or control herself when she COLLIDES rather soundly with his back and a grunt.]

Second day onward (Kipinn)

[The first day, when everything changes, Jack is nowhere to be found. It's personal business that occupies him, the sort he's not inclined to announce or spread around outside of the immediately relevant channels, even as much as he loves talking. It's also that first day that impresses upon him the gravity of what's happening, so that even with the voiceless influence at work within him, he feels a wariness suffusing his observations of the village, gaining more than one dark-winged individual or half-observed shadow a second look.

Even with that, though, there's an unmistakable quickness playing through his nerves and sinews, an impulsiveness that wars with and often outright overtakes his more cautious inclinations. It's both akin to and utterly unlike a high: buzzing-bright, twining with his natural predilections, so guiltily easy to surrender to. And there's no time when he surrenders like he does in the brightest part of the day, flitting from company to solitude and back again. When he's not resting his wings in the shade, he's an offensively bright-green dot in the sky a good distance above any suitably grassy area, twisting flight and magic together in an effort to spin himself through drives and twists and barrel-rolls. Very often he ends up losing the manoeuvre mid-effort and tumbling several metres in a ball of skewed wings and brassy laughter that barely lands at a safe speed, but it's not long until he's up in the air again, giving it another go.]

[In the shade cast by a tree, the Forgemaster – sullen and guarded - watches the demonstration of air acrobatism with more than slight attentiveness, leaning back against the trunk with his arms folded. But there is only so long he can quietly watch the display before it becomes distinctly less enchanting and the urge to ruin it overtakes him. But ruin is such a harsh word. He'd like to think of it as simply making things more interesting.

His hands rise slowly and spread, and between them a shadow billows from the ground, wavering and swelling like a hungry flame. Bringing his thoughts to a sharp focus is no difficult task as a seasoned Forgemaster, and with palms aglow, he channels the raw power coursing through him – the devil’s magic, Twila, and a small measure of his own life energy – into the shadow. It springs to life, writhing and coiling as it assumes a serpentine form. A quick sweep of his arm sets it free and it arcs through the air in Jack's general direction, its ink-black, toothless mouth agape.]

Undertaker - Kipinn

Mischief is one of Undertaker's strong point this time around. He'll be make air "trap" as he refers to them around the village. They aren't harmful but they can certainly pack quite a punch. If you manage to step on one of them whilst walking about you might get a full blast of air to the face. Or you might even see spooky skeletal figures dancing about the enclosure with seemingly no strings attached. The creepy laughter accompanying said skeletal creations doesn't really help...

But other than that Undertaker can be found swooping, flying, and just people watching from atop the community buildings. Go say hi if you really dare...

Unfortunately, a young demon overlord accidentally stepped on one of the "traps" laid by Undertaker. If he's lucky or nearby, Undertaker may see Kouki get a blast of air to his face, as well as his reactions to it.

[Leon is wary -- and a bit nervous -- as he ventures through the village. The sheer amount of people affected by ... well, whatever had happened was upsetting, and he couldn't help but worry that the Malnosso would do something. There were a lot of people freewheeling through the sky and apparently having a good time, but... It was ominous. Anything affecting their wings just seemed wrong somehow.]

[Fayt was among those people freewheeling through the sky, actually, and when he spots Leon walking around down on the ground a ways ahead of his flight path, his curiosity gets the best of him. it takes only a moment for him to tuck his wings back and let himself dart low to the ground--

Though perhaps he should have called out first. Hopefully Leon wouldn't freak out at the near divebomb landing Fayt was intending to make.]

[Shayera Hol wakes wearing a short white dress and not much else on a planet where everyone has wings. Neither of these things were particularly odd, except this wasn't Thanagar; that was a dream that would never come true again.

It also wasn't Fate's tower, which was where she was the last time she checked. Fate had hidden her mace, which was perfectly fine. She wasn't sure she wanted much to do with it anymore.

When she did her job, people got hurt.

Right now, though, she wasn't entirely opposed to hurting some people. Unless this was a dream and that would all count as self-harm, and she was really trying not to go down that route.

Either way, after waking up in the middle of a meadow, of all ridiculous places, Shayera's first move is to take to the sky, and get some perspective. It's surprisingly painful. That's when she discovers her second set of wings.

Now she really wants to hurt someone. Unfortunately, or perhaps fortunately, there are a bunch of people in the sky flying about like it's their first day with a working set of wings.]

[At least there's a quasi-familiar face on the other end of that question. A familiar face that's the wrong age and currently sporting huge wings himself, but familiar nonetheless.]

Right now? It's just an experiment! Probably.
